Took the grandchildren for tea my mixed grill was amazing the kids enjoyed there tea aswell and as for the pudding think it would have fed the whole resturant it was massive and tasted devine.will certainly go back.and the staff were lovely too.
My wife and mother came for lunch. Mum had a two course senior citizens meal for less than £5 and my wife and I had Thai green curries, 2 for £8.49. All the meals were delicious and served quickly by friendly staff. With 3 cokes our total bill was less than £20. We enjoyed our meal and will bring my mum again.
Had lovely night last night, service was very good, even though they were a bit short staffed, we had 2 meals for 8.49 and I have never seen a piece of fish so big, really enjoyed it, will definitely go back
Fantastic service to not just us but towards the kids too. They have tvs with cartoons or kids films on & colouring to keep the kids entertained. We assumed the food would be just ok seeing as the prices were so cheap but the food was cooked to perfection amd the staff are so friendly.
Enjoyed eating here but we did find the breakfast to be warm rather than hot so guessing they don't have a warming station to stop them going cold whilst waiting for the staff to bring out. Had a meal here later that day which was slightly better for still they seem a bit lacking in bringing out when piping hot. This needs addressing by management.
A little pier with a great old penny arcade located at the end. Have a nice stroll along the pier, stop for a drink at one of the little shops. It's a plesent way to spend an afternoon.
Fast service, efficient polite Staff. Ambient atmosphere. Family orientated. Order at Bar. We were waited on by a Fantastic Waitress, by the name of Phoebe. She couldn't do enough for us, and with a smile too. A credit to your establishment. Chicken Tikka Massala Curry is tasty and @ 2 for £8.49, a bargain.
Had a really first class meal on the buy one get one free burger offer. The only let down of our visit was the attitude of the manager who had trouble processing our gift card and told us we should have ordered our meals when we ordered our drinks when we first went in. Had to explain to him that we didn't know what meals we wanted at the time of entering. There was also some misunderstanding in the price of our meals and he handled it by giving us a pound back and said he couldn't be bothered arguing over a pound! Definitely would have given 5 stars if we hadn't been made to feel unwelcome.
This is a hungry horse branded pub in the tourist strip of southport.
My visit was to have a meal. Having ate here a few times in the past expectations were high.
I was not dissapointed i had the burger sizzle combo which was delicious. Ordering was a breeze at the bar with the friendly helpful staff.
The food did not take long to cook either and soon was tucking in on my meal in the picture. Just a note the 5oz rump was tender and cooked perfectly medium as asked.
Will definately go again next visit to Southport.
I recently visited here with family on a day out. Overall our experience was good.
Staff was friendly and helpful, the place seemed clean and tidy and the food was delicious.
The only downside to our visit was that we ordered our food and drinks on the app. When the staff member brought our drinks over she said there was a 45 minute wait on food. When we got our meals it was well worth the wait as we could tell it was freshly made and well presented.
Really comfortable, loads of room.. Tables and booths available, some have a t.v showing either sports ir kids channel. Lots of offers daily. Food is delicious. Really recommend the Waterfront. Right next to the Ramada Hotel and Marine Bridge ideally situated. Friendly staff.
We came here a few years ago and really enjoyed it, so while we was back in Southport we decided to come back.
We even downloaded the app when we got in there which made our lives so much easier. You don't need to queue up or anything, just create an account, order what you want and its at your table within 15 minutes.
The morning after we even came for some breakfast which was delicious, we even noticed some of the booths had small TVs built in which is great if you have kids with you.
Very tasty but a bit much for one meal fortunately I had a helper under the table
2 main meals, one bottle of Blossom Hill wine and 2 pints of Strongbow £23. Amazing value, staff very pleasant. Great night out
My food was very tasty, had to send one of our meals back due to being cold but the staff recited this and brought a freshly made plate of food out. There was not bother at all with this. Place itself is a bit tired, the seating was in need of a reupholster and the bathroom was, well not very clean.
Had lunch here today, place very clean, staff friendly and polite. Food good value for money 2 dishes £10.49 steak pie very good, new Yorker chicken burger excellent. Toilets could do with a make over they were clean but 2 toilets were out of order, and loose floor tiles, Over a lovely experience.
Not been to Southport for a fair few years but went recently obviously!. Nicely presented public house situated not far from sea front. Pleasant staff albeit slow regarding service but this was due to Thier shortage of staff. For us what excelled is that there is a dog friendly area, water, cleansing wipes and bowls available and our dog was well behaved and did receive praise from other customers. Where there is a beach there will always customers with or without dogs. Nice to see the Waterfront caters and accepts both.
Lovely friendly pub. Dogs welcome in pub area and water bowls are place inside and out free pool on Mondays.. Food area is large and very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and food menu is brilliant fantastic sharing meals. And drinks where lovely. Will return and can't wait to try some of the delicious foods they have on offer.
