My parents and myself visited on Thursday afternoon for lunch. We all had really tasty lunches. l liked mine a lot winch was a large bowl of spaghetti with a luscious garlic and cream , bacon & a herb which worked great with the sauce. l saw mine being cooked in the kitchen which was an added bonus - l love seeing my food being cooked in front of me - . :)
My mum had a huge fish and chips which looked amazing. Dad opted for a smaller meal which looked great.. dad also tried my pasta and liked it.
The staff are great and our waitress was lovely. 10/10 from me and my parents. We will come back and see you soon on our next trip.
Love love love this place , I am a very fussy eater but this is the only place that never lets us down. Well done to all the team can highly recommend 5stars plus from us .
Had a lovely Eggs Benedict this morning for my breakfast . Love this place the staff are lovely & friendly and you always get good service
Stopped by for lunch today. Amazing homemade chips, kids eat free & their meals were really good too. Friendly staff, would definitely recommend
We were first timers here and wondered why we hadn't come before. Free kids meals!! And a lovely selection of food to choose from reasonably priced too. We enjoyed our food and surroundings. Friendly staff, will be revisiting soon. Thank you for our lovely meal
Love the lemon miringue pie here. To die for!
Lovely food friendly staff would definitely recommend if you are in Southport
Lovely place only had coffee and toasted T cake which was very nice but the food that was being served looked fabulous.
Fabulous place, me and my mum popped in for a late lunch and decided on jacket potatoes. So accommodating in making sure we were still on plan with our diets and the best jacket potatoes I have had out. Will definitely be back soon - maybe trying the fabulous looking cakes .......
Slimming world breakfast was superb will definitely be back
Fab food. Great value and had the best chips ever. Lovely staff. Worth the journey from Liverpool and will be returning very soon.
Located in the Wayfarers Arcade, this Cafe seems to be quite popular with the locals which is a good indication that its a decent cafe ..There's plenty of seating inside, with toilet facilities located in the corner& around a further 14 tables available in front of the cafe in the arcade itself, which is a very impressive specified designated area, which also had a patio heater & large tv screen showing clips of Southport. .It's a place your order @the till system & receive a number for your table service order ,cash & card payments are accepted. I found the young staff on duty to be very pleasant when i placed a food order, Cheese & onion toastie ,tuna & cheese toastie along with pot of tea & orange juice .The toasties were very nice, perhaps the side salad was little sparse but did receive a small bowl of chips each on the house which was a very nice gesture indeed .There's a good choice of breakfast,& lunch time food options on the menu along with hot/ cold drinks & cakes etc .I myself wouldn't hesitate in coming back here again when I'm next in Southport.
We popped into Pudding and Pie for a spot of lunch (there were three of us grown-ups). It's a shame to see the arcade it's housed in looking a bit worse for wear, but fear not, the cafe itself was lively and buzzing.
The food was decent and the service was good too. However, the cafe could do with a bit of sprucing up and the lavatories, while clean, were not the most pleasant. Despite having three loo roll holders, there wasn't a scrap of toilet paper in sight!
Overall, it was a jolly good experience and we would certainly recommend giving Pudding and Pie a visit. Just don't forget to bring your own bog roll!
A wonderful little Cafe, situated in the Wayfarers Arcade, offering seating in one of the most iconic buildings of Southport. The food is good, I love the curly fries, best in town by far. Cakes are spot on, and the owner works incredibly hard alongside her staff, she’s a lovely lady with a heart of gold.
This was my regular cafe with my mum who with middle signs of dementia, always insisted on coming here, because of the chilled out atmosphere, the incredibly friendly service and chat from the boss, we were always made to feel welcome, and they never minded her requests to have a doggy bag at the end of the meal, as the proportions are great, and the sandwiches always have ample filling.
I’ve struggled to return here, these last few months, due to the memories with my mum here, but that’s the whole beauty of the cafe, it’s created amazing memories for me and my mum, who saw this as her little slice of heaven, when all around her had started to crumble.
Honestly has one of the most lovely settings in town, and even in winter, they care so much for their clients, they have outdoor heaters on in the seating area under the arcade.
Happened on this restaurant by chance. Reserved 2 tables for a party of eight, four adults and four children. The food we ordered was excellent for everybody and the portions were very generous. The staff were friendly and attentive. When I next return to Southport I will definitely be going again.
It was a very enjoyable visit, great food and prices. The quality of the food is outstanding. And the staff represents the establishment well.
Lovely little place to stop for food. The staff are all very friendly. The food is beautiful and very reasonably priced. I had a panini and curly fries and they were lovely!
A very nice Cafe within the Wayfairers Arcade, Lord Street, Southport.
Used to Visit regularly when we Lived in Southport for Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea at least 2-3 times a week.
Always use when in Southport, a very pleasant Proprietor.
Absolutely delicious Breakfast, and a generous amount of food. The staff are always lovely & service is quick.
Our first visit certainly won't be the last delicious food in pleasant surroundings highly recommended
The advantage to Pudding and Pie is that you can eat "outside" while still having the arcade roof protecting you from the elements. Well set up for social distanced eating, the staff were attentive and the menu well stocked despite the covid lower footfall. Great to be able to eat out safely and support local businesses. Beautiful surroundings and ambience of Wayfarers Arcade. Burgers a big hit with the boys, paninis were good too - there was great excitement about the top notch bacon!
Good food not the first time there definitely the last clean Good friendly staff around very good

Staff all very friendly and helpful.
