Not far from Lord Street, you'll find the Pavilion Restaurant nestled within the Royal Clifton Hotel. It's a mish-mash of your classic Brit dishes available alongside a bunch of Modern European and Continental kind of fare, and all the ingredients are locally sourced and flavoursome and wholesome. Go on, we're listening... Seasonal too! Blimey, Mr Ramsay would be proud. The chef's won awards so there are no scruples there, and with a wide veggie variety to choose from as well as some meaty traditional meals and specials which are added to the menu for something a little different, their availability based upon the local markets or the season. Fabulous stuff. Add to that an eclectic wine list with some really highbrow vintage offerings as well as enthusiastic staff who'll attend to your every whim with exceptional service, alongside a relaxing lounge for pre-dinner drinks and the option of regular live music and jazz with your meal, and you've got the recipe for a decent evening out methinks. I didn't expect to find something quite so tranquil in Southport, so it's certainly worth a look.

Pavilion Restaurant is situated on Coronation Walk just 100 yards from Lord Street and is part of the renowned Royal Clifton Hotel. Inside the restaurant is very stylish with a very modern feel. The menu has been created by award winning chef Craig O'Brien and includes both English and Continental dishes. If you want to you can dine privately. Don't forget to take advantage of the pre drinks lounge and the regular live jazz and other musical entertainment.

Visited the other day and was delighted to see home made soup on the menu. Two options. I went with tomato soup and half a sandwhich. Everything was so fresh and flavoursome. Staff were lovely and attentive. I have never had a bad experience here. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a breakfast/lunch/brunch.

Passed this place on bike and decided to stop for coffe. Menu looked appealing and ordered salad.I forgot to take pictures of my food. I would recommend this cafe 100% Not only the staff is fabulous and soo helpful with and attentive but chef is doing amazing job too as my chicken brie cheese salad was so fresh and lovely presented in very timely manner. I also enjoyed coffee and cake deal 😋- chose carrot cake. Tasted very fresh not like cafe Nero overpriced rubbish. And again, staff is so pleasant. Please visit this place to appreciate. I hope it stays this way. Thank you

My first visit to the Pavillion and it was great. I think this might be the best place for breakfast in Southport. The staff were really friendly, swapped out the parts of the breakfast we didn't like and offered an all around great service. The breakfast tasted great and was very filling. We both struggled to finish and our response like others i had hear was "it was lovely but I just couldn't finish it" Would recommend will definatly visit again.

Love this place. Really nice staff, trendy surroundings right in the heart of the centre and great food! (There might be a small wait because it's all cooked fresh - try the half breakfast - delicious)

Wheelchair Model Diaries The Pavilion Lord Street Southport I have had a little break from eating out and reviews, as I have just opened my very own boutique! Back to it now, and I will be visiting venue’s again and providing reviews to help wheelchair users and their family and friends make informed choices on where to eat and drink in the North West! Today we had the pleasure of being invited to The Pavilion on Lord Street in Southport, an award winning Cafe Bar and Bistro. It’s situated just outside the Atkinson on Eastbank Square. There is parking outside the Atkinson for Blue Badge users, and the cafe is just a short walk from there, and has two entrances. The entrance on Eastbank Street side has a very gentle slope to access the venue easily for wheelchairs We we’re welcomed by the assistant manager who opened the door straight away for us and shown to our pre reserved table where the staff had kindly removed a chair for me to remain seated in my wheelchair and the table was the perfect height for me. The tables had plenty of space to manoeuvre around once inside We met the manager Paul, and learnt about the owners second business which has opened in the same area, at the building that was Remedy previously. The concept is like nothing we have in Southport which is freshly made pizza served by the slice, American style! Crave Pizza is definitely going on my list of venues to try! We were spoilt for choice by the both the food menu and the drinks menu too! We opted for sparkling water and a cappuccino, The sparkling water was served with ice and a slice and the cappuccino with a lotus biscuit The venue is all table service which made our experience very relaxing. Our friendly server let us know the soups of the day, which were both homemade by The Pavilion, and we can never resist homemade soup! We tried one of each, Tomato and Chicken, Mushroom and Sweetcorn Soup for our starter, Followed by a beautiful freshly prepared Halloumi and Beetroot Salad, and Chicken Burger with Sweet Potato Fries! The food is all freshly made, no fast food here! The venue was busy, almost every table was full, so I would advise you to book in advance, the quality of the food and the friendly staff mean that this ambient venue is always popular! The venue can also be booked for private events which is amazing to know for any wheelchair users looking to book for a special occasion The toilet facilities where very easy to access, they were very clean with an easy to reach sink, and a pull cord in case of needing assistance We had a really lovely time and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! We will definitely be back 10/10 Very Highly Recommend

Went here for lunch as all the reviews were very positive, we were not disappointed, all the food was fresh and felt hand made rather than shop or supermarket bought, staff were prompt and pleasant and pricing was very reasonable for the quality we got, will be returning again to try other options on the menu.

Great restaurant and super service. Brought my parents for an early dinner and had the best fish and chips I’ve eaten for quite some time. Even my father was impressed and he’s a tough critic!
