We went for drinks and after viewing the menu, we returned for a meal. The food was delicious, the baked goats cheese was just gorgeous and the sea bream just lovely. The service was excellent and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. It couldn't have been better.

Visited Bar 88 a few times before the changes. If anything, it's even better! Superb meal, quality food, plentiful portions, in a lovely quiet spot downstairs, excellent service too. Loved every bit of it. OK, so it was half price tonight, but would have been equally happy at full price. Back tomorrow ..... Well done all!
It's now been renamed The Carlton, its original name. Loved the new interior, much better than before. Had to sit outside due to Covid, but plenty of heaters and great staff.
Just finished the Hot Duck Salad. The chef here has nailed the duck. Not the easiest of foods to get right - recommended. Steak sandwich also well cooked and presented . Will be returning .
Lovely place. Nice area outside to eat and drink . Also a large veranda upstairs.
Tastefully decorated with all glass frontage which leads outside on the eating and drinking area. Food is delicious.
Had a fantastic lunch here today, asparagus and poached eggs with crispy bacon, cod cheeks with handmade chip stack, Peking chicken and rice, we all thought the food was really nice, you must try the halloumi and sweet potato stick's yum!!
Beautiful restaurant food was amazing and reasonable , staff were very friendly and looked after you , lovely atmosphere and very clean
