It is hot and sultry after a poor August, so it was with some relief to find this place tucked neatly down a side road. It is one of those places would be a chameleon if it was an animal. All in a good way. Worth a visit.

Me and my partner went to this fancy posh restaurant which had beautiful decor on our last day for breakfast before travelling back. We have to say it was the tastiest food we've ever eaten. They gave us both a massive portion, and the food arrived out very early then we expected. We both ordered a full fry up, and lets just say we was both very full after that meal, completely satisfied. We definitely will be back for a tasty delicious meal with you again in the future, thank you for the excellence service.

Wanted a bite to eat at lunchtime, but had the dog with us so couldn't just pop in anywhere. Then we spotted this place tucked away up a side street. What a discovery. Great food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly too. Reasonably priced as well so it ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had 4 tapas plates and salt + pepper chips between us for lunch here today and everything was hot, delicious and attractively served. The ambience is perfect and service excellent. Will definitely be returning. Kath + John Banks.

Really chic little bistro. We were in Southport for a short winter break and discovered the Hideaway on our last morning. We had breakfast there and will definitely be back for Cocktails.

A quick, unexpected day trip to Southport found us there at lunchtime with a hankering for fish and chips. Google showed that this place rated highest, so in we went. There are plenty of traditional 'fish and chip' shops around, but most scored lower and after our meal, as we walked around we passed a few that weren't open, so this made the Hideaway Bistro an even better choice. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good and freshly cooked and well worth the short wait. The chips weren't greasy and the fish was covered in a nice light batter. Prices were decent and the place was clean and well-run. What more can you need?

I am not able to speak highly enough of this place. It has, by far, the very best breakfasts anywhere. I usually have the Great Big Breakfast but I just couldn't manage that yesterday so I went with the avocado, poached eggs and tomatoes on thick toast instead and it was everything I thought it would be. Just perfect. Every single time 😍
