I stopped by on a Sunday lunchtime and tried the pastrami bagel and an Americano. The coffee was good. The bagel’s are homemade. There was plenty of filling and taste was good. Only criticism is that when served the bagel was too hot to hold. I don’t mind the filling being piping hot but the bagel itself should have been warm at best.
The restaurant itself was bright and clean with a modern look. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would happily eat here again.
On business in Southport yesterday and, after reading good, positive reviews online about Tappers, we decided to try them out for ourselves. We were not disappointed. Good, fresh food at reasonable prices. Bright and airy inside and there is a good size terrace outside. Excellent service. We hope to call in again.
Popped in with my son this afternoon. Super friendly people. The scone was an absolute 10/10. Fresh and warm, the cream and blueberry compote went perfectly with it. Would recommend to anyone
Recently refurbished, this is a great little spot for some lovely lunch dishes...very good for gluten free as well. Highly recommended
A hidden gem in Union Street, Southport. A lovely little cafe with a very different breakfast and lunch menu. Plenty of variety including imaginative vegetarian and vegan dishes. There are plenty of meaty options too to satisfy carnivores like me. Service is excellent and the atmosphere pleasant though more daytime cafe than evening fine dining. Overall a new favourite.
Always have a lovely visit to Tappers!.. Best coffee, gorgeous warm goats cheese salad and dirty fries in the side.. wonderful!

We visit Tappers everytime we are in Southport - often more than once. They are super friendly and accommodating - one of us is a wheelchair user and we are made to feel welcome rather than a nuisance as we are in some places. Food is delicious with generous portions - homemade soup and a warm bagel with a side of cheesy chips is my favourite! Coffee is very good too. Well done Tappers a lovely place to visit.
We drove past tappers the other day, thought it looked lovely and it didn’t disappoint! It has a very relaxing vibe, big portions and is very affordable. We had a lovely server and the food and drinks came out very quickly. It wasn’t too loud so it’s a great place for a delicious healthy lunch and to have a chat with family or friends. We will be coming here again! Sit outside if you can, it’s a real treat when the sun’s shining.
