Whilst enjoying a sunny Saturday, in Southport, we decide to have lunch at The Fishermens Rest. Upon entering the staff were very friendly and the surroundings were nice. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny 🌞 day. I ordered fish and chips 🍟. The fish tasted fresh, and the portion size was good, and prices are very reasonable. The lasagne my dining partner had was very tasty and a good portion size served with salad πŸ₯— and garlic bread. Overall, the food and service were of a good standard. The toilet 🚻 was very modern and clean. If you're in Southport, Pop in you won't he disappointed πŸ‘

Went here with a friend and his family. We had it booked for 3PM, but were a bit early (about 15-20 minutes I believe) and were still let in. We ordered our drinks at the bar, and they were quickly ready. After we were shown to our table, where I was told the story of the place, which I recommend looking up if you don't know it yet. Alternatively they've got pictures and writing inside where you can read the story in detail as well. Once picked out, we ordered our food at the bar, and it was brought to us very soon. While waiting it's the perfect time to read said interesting story. But the food didn't just arrive soon, it also tasted wonderfully. They've also got wide variety in both drinks and food. Both of which are also fairly priced, and considering the taste, maybe even cheap. We also got some extra gravy and desserts very quickly after asking for it. The staff were also very kind. All in all, there is a great atmosphere, story, food, and service, and I have no complaints. The only thing one might dislike is the music playing in the background, but it was just my taste and it suited the atmosphere, so the upbeat 80's were just fine with me. My Verdict: 10/10 Perfect (my first 10/10 review).

What a fabulous vibrant pub. I recommend the gammon steak and hubby enjoyed the sea bass. We're very lucky to have such a great pub within walking distance from home..

We called in for drinks on our way back to our camper van, we were lucky to be able to get a table to sit at as they are very busy. We decided to look at the memo as the food been brought out looked delicious. After checking out allergens we decided to eat, I had Gammon which was delicious. All the staff were extremely busy but still had time to be friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend food here even if you have allergies as they can easily answer any questions and cater for all

Beef burger - with cheese and onion rings - side of fries and coleslaw- PERFECT!!! Proof that you don’t need to serve fancy sounding dishes - focus on simple but cooked to perfection πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

If you like food, then you'll love The Fish. From the all-day breakfast, through steak and ale pie, fish and chips to different risottos for example. There is a variety of good home cooked food, enough for any tastes and daily specials. Smaller meals for those who enjoy food but can't manage larger portions. And a variety of desserts to finish. This time, we enjoyed the breakfast and a smaller gammon and egg, followed by lemon roulade with ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Booking beforehand is recommended.

It's a pub serving food. We sat outside as we had a dog with us. Staff were lovely. Service was great. Food was good. We ate it all. Fairly priced too, and a good menu to suit all. Yes would go back.

Food was amazing there was four of us who booked a table top class food But the only let down at the end of our 3 course meal we were told we only ad 5minutes left on the table which was very disappointing as we was still finishing our drinks and wanted to order something else. We spent a lot of money and to be told people were waiting for the table where there was other tables empty. Such a shame it put a damper on the evening

Outstanding pub , great food and beer 🍺. Staff are fantastic and can't do enough to allow you to enjoy your time there. My mum's birthday was made even more special, when the Fisherman's Rest team came to the table and sang happy birthday πŸŽ‚ to her. Super place πŸ‘10⭐️+

Great pub restaurant. Been a few times and it’s always very busy. Obviously best to book but I’ve found on occasions the phone isn’t answered . Staff are polite and helpful. Drinks good. Will be back soon.
