We had the taster menu and it was beautiful, I tried the pigeon (which was delicious), I would never have ordered this normally. The desserts were to die for, especially the pear drop ice cream. The waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We were looking for somewhere different to go for a change & found this restaurant. What a 'gem'. We went for my birthday and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day. The staff were so warm and welcoming and yet at the same time gave first class service. We ate off the taster menu so we could try different food, every single choice was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't finish my main course. Prices are really reasonable and even with a drink to start, bottle of wine and coffee & drinks to finish our bill was more than reasonable. So glad we discovered you, we will definitely be back.

Would highly recommend Bistro 21, the food is amazing, the staff are courteous, polite, attentive, welcoming, very skilled and very knowledgable. We had the tasting menu, and every element of it was delicious, presented well and served with a smile. The bistro is intimate and unpretentious, and there's a welcoming feeling as soon as you walk through the door. And Bistro 21 is excellent value for money too, a very well deserved listing in the Good Food Guide and a credit to Southport. Thank you for a lovely evening 😊

My husband and I took all our family there to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The staff allowed us the restaurant to ourselves and I can't thank or praise them enough! The food was great and all the staff were wonderful! Would recommend to anybody!

Fantastic service, lovely food. We went for the tasting menu, brilliant idea! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal & staff/chefs dealt brilliantly with garlic allergies in our party. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Xx

I was moaning to a friend about the lack of decent restaurants in Southport and he suggested we try Bistro 21. Purely on his recommendation we took my daughter for her 18th birthday and I can't say enough good things about it. We went on a Thursday night and it was very busy (I was warned to pre book which was good advice) the staff were fantastic. Totally attentive, pleasant and efficient. Two of us don't eat meat and there was still an excellent choice of food which was beautifully prepared and presented. The only thing I would disagree with my friend on was his assertion that it was a bit expensive. I didn't think it was expensive at all and as the food, ambience and service were so good, I thought it was outstanding value for money. The taster menu is a must. We will absolutely be going back soon.

Enjoyed the taster menu tonight, choice of 3 small starters and 2 small taster main courses, with vegetables. All the dishes were very tasty. The lemon cheese cake was delicious, but the cheeseboard, which we decided to share, was not worth 10.00,and had 5 biscuits and a few slithers of cheese,Def not worth the price. Would recommend bistro 21,very nice food, good service although slightly on expensive side.

Good food in a small restaurant with attentive service. Prices towards the upper end for the style of food and an older clientele

Fantastic little Bistro. Had the 3 course lunch which was good value. Really solid cooking, not sure how they turn it out of the tiny kitchen but they do. Must be hot in there! Really good wine list with fair prices. Staff were really nice and restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Excellent service. Menu was perfect with the chosen food even more so. Lovely atmosphere, very clean and well presented. If you're ever in Southport (esp. for a show at the Theatre) then don't hesitate to book a table.

Fabulous food, very interactive service (with chef) and custom menu on the fly. I'd give it 5 stars but the seats were uncomfortable. They should get rid of the fancy seats and get comfy ones.

Had an amazing meal at Bistro 21. We had a voucher given to us for the restaurant and we didn't really know anything about the place. It was a Thursday evening, and the delicious tasting menu and great service turned what had been a really bad day into a good one. We will be back! Highly Recommended! The restaurant is quite small so its best to book.

Star rating is well deserved. Taster menu is a fantastic idea and allows you to try several dishes at the same time, also solves a problem if you cannot make your mind up. Quality food and great service.

Food here is always great. Service is excellent too. Restaurant is small, so make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment - not getting in is the only way you could be disappointed by this place!

I had the pleasure of eating here the other day. Front of house staff are amazing and the food is very comforting. If you are reading this review questioning whether or not to go, get in there and see for yourself!

Easily the finest quality restaurant meal I have eaten in Southport. The standard of food here (on my visit) deserves consideration for rosette. Staff are very friendly, professional and attentive. Restaurant is well fitted and cosy yet spacious, and they could have fit more seats yet have chosen not to to allow extra room for diners. Price point is higher than most in the area but you absolutely get what you pay for. The Carpaccio is excellent, as was the Fillet steak, cooked perfectly.

Went in May 2018. We got there just as the kitchen was closing, but the chef let us come in anyway. It may have been my favorite meal on my trip. Wait staff was great, food was incredible, and reasonably priced. If I’m ever in Southport again, I will go back.

The tasting menu was beyond belief, as was the bill. ( £99.50 for two ) However this did include coffee and cognac with dessert and two bottles of decent wine during the meal. All in all I would recommend this place.

Absolutely superb food. Some maybe a little bit too pricey like a filet steak for £27 but I understand filet is expensive anyway. Also just wish all items on the taster menu were available on the other menus as it seemed a bit confusing when wanting to order a starter off one but then fancied a main course off another and then deciding oh I like two of the main courses so will have to have the taster menu but I only like one of the starters so will have to have pate pate pate as the three starters. I am not really complaining or don't want to seem I am as this is a lovely restaurant with a lovely staff and it appears the owner is also lovely and very accommodating to her guests needs. I would say this is currently Southports best restaurant by far and in fact possibly for much further afield as I can't even think of a restaurant in Liverpool that comes close. Well worth a visit and suggest you book as every time I have driven past it's been busy when no word of a lie I have seen many other Southport restaurants completely empty especially early or mid week. You are guaranteed a lovely meal here I promise you and can't wait to go back

First visit to Langs and was impressed by the experience. Would recommend the table d'hote as it represents good value for money. But beware ... they make their profit from the house wine which was OK but not worth £15 a bottle.
