Popped to Sounthend on Sea after a visit nearby and we always get our fish and chips fom the front take away counter, this time as the weather wasn't ideal we decided to sit in and glad we did. The food was delicious and it felt a bit more "posh" served on a plate with a knife and fork with side salad and peas. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Will be eating in again next time we visit.
Nice new clean look and feel with a nice view of the sea front. It was a little empty inside but there were plenty of people waiting for takeaway and sitting outside. The food was definitely restaurant quality which is good though honestly we’d have been happy with the standard chip shop style chips and good size portion of fish at a more modest price. Can understand restaurant prices have probably gone up in the area but it did feel a little pricey to me for my family of 4. The fish was lovely but quite small portion, but the chips did make up for it. Wouldn’t mind going back but I’d want to see more fish and seafood options and a bigger piece of fish.
This is a nice little cafe and the ladies that work there are amazing and always provide a warm welcome.
The negative reviews are from entitled types who rock up 4 strong and then demand a table when they’re only ordering one meal and throw a strop when it’s not given by management.

I'm from South America and I'm traveling by motorcycle in England, My experience was excellent at this restaurant, an attendant that I don't remember the name was super attentive and patient in explaining each typical dish, I'll definitely be back one day...

This little place is my "go to" eatery along the seafront.
The food is always perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The cakes are home baked and are delicious!(Carrot cake)
The staff are friendly and professional, the service is prompt and polite.
The location is perfect, with large windows giving a fantastic view of the beach, pier and estuary across to Kent.
I'd give more stars if there was an option!
staff were very lovely, food came quick and was clean. just a heads up they don’t give extra cutlery and plates. me and my friend wanted to share a plate of fish and chips (which we’re glad we did as the portion size was quite large) but we’re not given extra cutlery. there’s also no alcohol served and only one toilet

Had the most amazing dinner today! Perfect view overlooking the beach and the sea! We had fish and chips and all of the people here said they were great! Had pudding too and it was fabulous! I recommend the cookie dough! Here there is the most friendliest staff who are so helpful! This place is a dream. Really recommend for a lovely family meal out, romantic date night, catch up meal with friends, or just by yourself, to relax. This is the most amazing cafe and I 100% recommended!
Great quality fish, batter crispy, cod fresh and perfectly cooked.
The chips tasted great, perfect for me.
Only downside is, for the price you pay on a portion of chips you don't get that much at all. Hence the 4 star rating on food.

This place is lovely nice decor, very clean, owners are friendly and the staff that served me and my mum. We had the Fish & Chips and it was lovely and fresh. Toilet facilities exceptionally clean. Overall whole place was lovely would definitely recommend this place. If I came again don’t think I’d eat anywhere but here.
The best chips I have had in donkey years... brown and crispy. Not soggy or undercooked chips that you normally get from such places. The fish was delicious. Well worth a visit from the other 11 fish and chip bars by the pier. They also do great ice-creams too!

When you walk into that restaurant, the first impression is cleanness. In this bright room due to large bay/windows, you won't find clutter and everything seems to be at the right place. The seashore is no further than 10 metres away from the bay windows.
The menu is in fact a fish & chips/café selection that you can find in any similar place. Unfortunately, I haven't noticed wether alcool was served there or not but the food is fresh while the chips tasted as if they were home made.
Finally, the young staff are really doing their best to be pleasant and helpful.
I recommend the place with no hesitation for the reasons listed above.
Got a blue ice cream here a few times and love it! Staff are very nice and welcoming had a lovely chat.
Lovely place right on the beach. Clean and friendly staff. Great service and good choices. Plenty of seating and clean washroom. I had the southern fried chicken salad which was delicious. My son had the fish and chips which he loved. Then had take out ice cream flakes in a cone.
Family run. Have been using regularly since it opened with my walking buddy, Good coffee, good food, staff friendly, very clean. On the beach so great views.
Excellent food and service, highly recommended. I had the fish and chips with an amazing vanilla shake. Also had six donuts for dessert which were very filling and sweet.
