Food is okay, you get what you pay for. Many options including gluten free. It's not the food we are fussed by coming here, we go for the atmosphere! Love the jazz band and BBQs at the weekend. And of course sitting in the beautiful park after a lovely dog walk!
Food is OK, service really isn't the best, but so as long as you're not expecting too much, you wont be disappointed. The inside is very small, so making your way round the table to get to the counter really isnt easy! However, in the summer the cafe usually has a live musician playing outside and the atmosphere is amazing! I love coming to this park and the thing that attracts me the most? The water, ducks and the swans! There is now a feeding point by the basketball court side of the pond. It doesn't accept cash, so you will need a bank card/phone. It also doesn't tell you how much a portion is until you tap! Seems backwards to me, but if you're interested, there are 2 sizes and the smaller portion will cost you £1.
I guess they have installed this to stop people feeding bread to the ducks/swans. If they added a couple more, I think it could work!
Very good quality food and good prices. I had the steak pie, really rich and lots of meat, great flavour. My other half had a jacket potato, nice and hot and soft. Dog friendly outside seating too.
A great place for refreshments and grab a bite to eat. Vegan options available, including various alternative milks and a vegan ice cream. Good value for prices and family run so not supporting a huge corporate machine. Friendly service and plenty of outdoor seating.
Live music in the summer season on a Sunday lunch time. Grab a great roast or something else to eat while listening to some fantastic music.
Nice piece of bread pudding, lovely sit outside in the sun with a mug of tea. There was a bowl of water there for the dogs as well. Definitely coming again to have something to eat. These were photos of 3 years ago I will update them 😉
Nice staff. Good selection of cake and aa nice outdoor and indoor seating area next to the pond. All flat so good for baby and wheelchairs
Good service, good food, beautiful setting and friendly people. What a lovely place to take your dog with you.
The food is nice, the hot chocolates are really good! Just quite a long wait for being served as they are normally busy! Nice outside seating areas too, which is handy when the dog is with you. Was quite expensive though..
Fantastic park. You can visit the kids park for swings etc. It has a basketball Court, Football pitch. Bowling. Field for dogs. Cricket. Lake and a cafe which sells lovely food, cakes and ice- cream. There is also a toilet. The place is always presented lovely and is clean. Highly recommend.
Really friendly place , good service and food etc is excellent value for money.
