Absolutely amazing restaurant, incredibly friendly staff. They are so great even one of them remembers the order I normally get. Great, relatively healthy food, fantastic flavours, beautiful ambiance, comfortable seating. Lovely little spot to get some great food and even better customers service. If your in Southend and need a bit definitely go here!
Came here with the Mrs and little one's yesterday as we where staying in Southend-on-Sea for a few days. I have to say the food was on point. I ordered the Grande (gourmet) burger which was very juicy and succulent (tasted better with the cheddar cheese), chips was skin on and tasted really nice. Mrs ordered the buffalo wings (peri peri hot flavour) they where awesome tasted amazing and full of flavour. Only thing we did not like much was the mash potato we felt it was very dry and needed to be alot more creamier. The service was excellent. Overall I would definitely recommend this place as the food was fire.

Probably the best piri piri chicken I've had. Hot was spicy enough. Mexican Flavour was nice and a bit different. Great quick service and good prices. Recommended and it's halal so good for Muslims.
This place has great potential. Not quite a Nando’s but the wait time is much lower and I could see the owner really cares.
I took a star off because there were 4 groups in the restaurant and it will took 30 minutes for food.
Plus my meal come out 10 minutes after everyone else so they all finished before me.
I own a very successful restaurant in Philadelphia and would like to speak to the owner and give him some tips as this place has the food and prices to be amazing…. Just need a couple of tweaks in store to really rock!
Nice casual halal Roosters, now changed its name to Southend Piri Piri but food and people are as before. Have been here many times and have always enjoyed the food in the company of my family.
Food is always good when we order from here.

We always get a seat immediately entering the restaurant as it's not always busy (which is a plus point 😁). Staff are very friendly. I especially like their chicken wings meal platter which include 12 wings, 2 sides and 2 refillable soft drinks at a price of £11.99. For those who like spicy food, their Mexican flavour is not to be missed.
This was my first visit and was more than totally impressed. 4 of us 2 adults and 2 kids and we all agreed that the food is astounding, service is quick and staff are so friendly and helpful. Prices are more than half of what you will pay at other well known chicken restaurants and menu will spoil you for choice. Never usually write reviews but just had to for this place. Well worth a visit and will definitely be going back. This gets 5 stars from me and will be amazed if you are disappointed.
The inside and decor of the shop is really good, loads of space and tables for different size groups. The food is really nice as well ,presentation is on point and decent priced. Only down side is the refillable drinks has 4 options and 2 of those are basically the same: diet coke and Coke zero.
The best, if not one of the best, piri piri chicken restaurants I've ever been to. This restaurant beats Nando's by a landslide, mainly because of how delicious and flavourful the food is. Not only this, but the prices are much better than Nando's and the staff are very nice, plus the restaurant always tends to be very clean. If you are visiting Southend as a tourist, or live in the city, this is still an amazing restaurant to go to if you want great food.
