Food was great. Kids had cheeseburgers, we opted for loaded chips with cheese and bacon. It was tasty. Didn't have to wait too long either, but the best thing about this place is amazing, helpful, funny and friendly staff. They get 10⭐
Excellent fresh and well-cooked fish with delicious traditional accompaniments. A nice selection of children's food too. Service was great and the atmosphere quite cozy and traditional. Our kids were particularly impressed with the toilets because of the music played in there and the chain flush.
Food was incredible! We had the banana blossom vegan "fish", chips, gravy and vegan battered sausages. It all tasted amazing, we had quick and friendly service, and good social distancing in place. Will definitely be back!
This place has recently changed hands and is very different to how I remember it. But the changes are all for the better I think. They mainly do fish and chips but the quality is pretty awesome. Came here with the family and enjoyed a Wakering beer with my lunch. Very good value for money and a pret
Awesome!! Celebrated my 65th Birthday here today with friends and family. Had afternoon tea. Sandwiches cakes and scone. All delicious and fresh. Unlimited cups of tea/coffee. Service was amazing!! Waiter was attentive, friendly and funny!! Love this place.. Will definitely go again. 5 star recomme
Called in for lunch during our shopping trip. Staff very helpful as we had the baby with us and most tables were reserved on the ground floor but they managed to accommodate us. Lovely menu choice food well presented and tasty. We'll worth leaving the high street to eat here.
From stepping in the door we were amazed at the transformation and beautiful decor. The food was great, being a northerner...finding good gravy in Southend is tough, but Clarence Yard didn't disappoint. Great food for adults and children alike! Toilets immaculate as well
Fantastic food and amazing & friendly staff. We shot in there with a voucher from adventure island that kids ate free. We live about 60 miles away but will DEFINATELY return soon. Our 3 boys loved the portion sizes (especially as they were free) and they got a tub/cone of ice cream. Thank you everyo
Had a voucher for afternoon tea. Excellent value for money, no limit on tea and coffee.Sandwiches scone and cakes very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can walk in and have scone and tea. Well worth a visit.
We ended up heading to Clarence yard for lunch as we had a voucher for a free kids meal that came with our visit to santa. Is a bit out of the way but I have to say was well worth the trip into town! Prices wise, is, I believe, cheaper than any of the other fish and chip shops in Southend. Especiall
Brilliant deal from Wowcher... £10 for tea for two!! Beautiful sarnies, homemade scones with jam and clotted cream and delicious cakes!! Would have been 5 stars but I found the sandwiches needed more filling... 😉
