Last night me and my partner had a takeaway from here. It was absolutely delicious tastes. Well presented and large portion sizes. The delivery came sooner than expected too. My partner has been to Mexico and said the food is the closest his tried to what he had when he had visited there. We would definitely recommend and dine here again. Our new favourite place to eat. What a find! We were in Southend for the day from south Essex and saw they accepted taste card. I called while I was parking and accepted us straight away. We sat outside it was lovely. The food is amazing! All fresh! We had the Halloumi and Chorizo and calamari starters 2 pizzas which were huge and delicious. I had the chorizo burger which was totally not what I expected and was an excellent delicious surprise! I opted to have it in the tortilla and it was so worth the mess! We will be visiting again! My husband loved his spicy fish pasta that they allowed us to take away. Excellent food, extremely clean restaurant and elite service. We cannot wait to return! The whole menu just looks delicious!

Visited here today with 2 meat eaters, 3 vegetarians, 1 peanut and dairy allergy sufferer and 1 gluten free vegan. Not an eyelid was raised! Everyone had menu choices and nothing was too much trouble. Plus, the food was delicious �

What a fantastic little restaurant. Don’t know why we hadn’t been before but as soon as we walked in, we just felt we’d made a good choice. A great feel to this place with really lovely staff who were attentive but not in your face. Loved the decor and the food and drinks were amazing. Best fajitas I’ve had. We will definitely be going back

Found this place from the tastecard app and decided to try it as they accept the card on a Friday night! Booking was easy enough! 5 of us went! The food was fantastic and really good sized portions and so tasty! I didn’t get to try the cocktails as I was driving but the selection looked good. The menu was reasonably priced anyway so adding a tastecard felt like I was robbing them! Will definitely be back

A lovely, friendly place with amazing food. The owners are wonderful and will go above and beyond to make your meal a perfect one. Will definitely be back again.
A real fun place with a cantina vibe. Not warm and romantic but fun and quirky, with a social feel. A little noisy but adds to the atmosphere. Booking recommended as it gets busy very quickly.
All tacos and tortillas we tried were excellent, and really tasty.

Absolutely fantastic experience - 10/10!
We had booked in advance and this is definitely a must as the place was soon full - even for a weekday! This is an immediate good sign!
We were for the sharing starter which had a mix of just about everything - wings, spring rolls (not what you think, had a Mexican twist and these were my favourite!), nachos, tostadas, and a garlicky flat bread! All was delicious and perfectly cooked.
I had the crispy tacos for main, opting for the combo - 2 beef and 2 prawn. Nicely presented, very tasty and filling! Messy to eat but I loved it!
My parents went for the Mexican paella and my stolen spoonful was deliciously spiced!
Dulce de leche churros to finish the meal nicely!
Lots of cocktails to choose from - went for a margarita which had a pineapple twist. My only complaint was the sugar rim rather than a salty rim!
The staff were impeccable, very friendly and attentive. The place is nicely decorated and the music wasn't too loud so conversation could flow!
Definitely a place I am now recommending and will be coming back to try more of the menu!
Lovely little restaurant, went on a Thursday, glad we booked at it was packed. The waitresses were very friendly and food was amazing! Only slight critiques- it was so busy all you could hear was people talking, you couldn't hear the music until alot of people cleared out. Also the area isn't great, a few shady characters, especially as there isn't parking and had to walk a little while. But will defo visit again. Honeycomb cheesecake was 10/10!

Firstly, the staff are incredibly lovely, attentive and all-round wonderful people. Always smiling, cheery and happy to help.
The decor is super - it’s bright and fun, it’s got kitsch and quirk. They’ve done a great job there.
The food is delicious and clearly made with love and attention to detail - all too often you find Mexican / South American restaurants that just throw the meals together, but not Pieno-Lleno! Each dish was delicious and I’m definitely coming back for more! (Vegan and gluten free is widely available too!) cocktails and drink selection excellent as well!

Cosy little Mexican restaurant just a few minutes' walk off the Southend coastline. Me and the family walked in quite spontaneously and despite the fully-booked schedule they had, we were squeezed in by the lovely staff. The ambience was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the vibe: Mexican paintings, Sombrero-style lights and the classy cultural music made for a wonderful time spent dining there. As for the food, I'd say it's slightly on the pricier side but totally worth it if you're willing to explore fine Mexican dining! The wait wasn't long and everything was freshly-cooked and tasty, will be definitely coming back!
