A wonderful restaurant in Southampton to have very well cooked Chinese cuisines.
All those dishes I ordered were delicious. Especially the traditional Peking roast duck (1814 signature) is superb.
It has nice private dining rooms, advanced booking recommended.
Located in central Southampton, very near to major car park, and walking distance from historical attractions.
We absolutely loved our late lunch/ dinner experience in this restaurant. We odered omnivore set menu for two people for £45pp, with various meats options, vegetables and egg fried rice. The food was very fresh and full of colour, cooked just right. We were also pleasantly surprised with the size of the portions which was just right too! In addition, need to mention the nice atmosphere and beautiful interior, all restaurant is decorated with sakura tree blossoms. Maybe the service could be improved since it felt a bit too long waiting times between different courses even though it wasn’t busy, but overall we had a great time!
The best Chinese restaurant I've ever been in. Really lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive and delicious food, quite different to any other Chinese I've visited. The desserts and teas are good too.
I would have given 5 stars but we were disappointed to be told we needed to purchase a pot of tea per person at £6.50, and wouldn't let us share, one pot is easily enough for at least 2.
We had spent a lot on our meal.
However over all a lovely evening and would return.
Stunning atmosphere at this restaurant, oriental pattern with a deep amber hue. Makes you feel transported to a different time and country.
Food was great and well-seasoned. Did not have to wait very long for the delicious meal. There are rooms that can be booked for private dining.
This reminds me of the restaurants I visited in Beijing with the private dining rooms along the side. The food is excellent. The service tries to be really good but sometimes slips up when the staff get distracted. We went for lunch and were only given the a la carte menu, luckily we knew there was a lunch menu because we had checked the website before going. Booking was really effective via the website.
Yes, it is expensive but the quality of the food is excellent so I don't begrudge it and will save up and go for special occasions.
The decor is very glam but quite fun - don't miss out a visit to the loos.

Me and my wife went for our 17th wedding anniversary last night and had an amazing time food was delicious and the service was first class with a great atmosphere. We will be going again . Thanks you for making our anniversary meal feel special.

It's a fine dining restaurant in the city centre that serves best Chinese food. It has a fantastic selection of vegetarian food as well. The menu is quite elaborate and the food delicious. Good number of cocktail and mocktails as well. The ambience and aesthetic is really wonderful and the staff very friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience.
This place is 5* the atmosphere was relaxing the staff were brilliant, food and drinks were ordered within 10 mins of being seated and was on the table within minutes, the food was the nicest we have ever tasted and cooked really well , it is pricey however you don't mind paying for a great experience and great food

We did set meal for 2 and was more than plenty of food, at £50 head it should be. Some would question the prices there but it is what it is ... if you want cheap and cheerful, go to the takeaway down the road.
The service was great. I would definitely go back, but not regularly unless i was rich.

We visited last night. The food and service was amazing. The peking duck was a big highlight for us, would really recommend, it was cooked perfectly. The venue is decorated well, a good setting for a date night.
Service is always impeccable! Have been on 4 different occasions now, always consistent with the service and the food quality, beautiful atmosphere, gorgeous food! And some of the best cocktails I have ever tasted! I always look forward to our meals out here and have highly recommended this place to numerous people, they all say the same thing after their experience. I look forward to the next visit!
Everything was perfection. I have very high standards when it comes to food so am not easily pleased. But wow this place blew us away. The staff were amazing, never had such a high quality of service. The food was fabulous...10 times better than the food you get from a typical Chinese takeaway. Great cocktails. The decor is just wow... I don't think I've ever been into such posh toilets! Highly recommend...you won't be disappointed!!!

Incredible... Sat night at 8pm, venue was full. We went for the set piece meal for 2 at £45 a person at first thought a bit expensive but trust me worth every penny... The quality of the food was outstanding (for 4 years I worked as a Silver service waiter in many 4 & 5 star venues and Weddings) this was quite simply the best Chinese I have ever eaten and I cannot understate how good the quality of the food is! My only complaint ironically is there was actually too much food for a set piece for 2 people. Easily 3 or 4 persons so not only quality but quantity too.
Staff were very friendly, atmosphere was amazing, background music not over bearing large tables (so could fit all your food on without fear of knocking it off as some Chinese restaurants do). A lot of expensive decorations, mood lighting... If you want to treat for a celebration (you do get a small cake with a candle and they actually specifically asked if we were celebrating something) or a show-off date night, then this will be the perfect place. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Amazing food and atmosphere. Every thing is freshly cooked to order and is so tasty, you really are spoilt for choice.

The staff are very welcoming, efficient and polite.
Plates are cleared away after each course, the tables are wiped, new napkins are brought over and your water glass is never empty.
Amazing range of cocktails and spirits.
Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion.
