Great location as very close to where we live. Place looked clean and tidy. Friendly member of staff at the bar. Ordered food and drink and both were good.
The men's toilet could do with some maintenance (cracked mirror and broken toilet).
Personally I think it's the most underrated food pub in Southampton. The roasts are amazing- AND HUUUGE!
We now get one adult and one child roast to feed me, wife and 3 year old! And we still don't finish it.
Pastas were beautiful too (but request no onions if you're not keen on them like me as they tend to add them to pasta dishes?) but they BANG!
Cocktails are great!! (wray rum punch 👌) and are usually 2 for £10.
Staff are sound too!! Lady with red hair and inked up barman (sorry don't know names) are great and make great cocktails.
The lady in tonight with the redish hair (that knew what we was drinking) is by far the best cocktail maker ever!! So so polite and accommodating as well. Food was amazing!! Didn’t expect everything to be as good as what it was if I’m being honest. Both myself and my partner agreed we would definitely be coming back (especially as we like a stones throw away. Regret not coming sooner!! Highly recommend this woman for any kind of cocktail and the chef for the great food!! Thank you

Have visited a few times now with my partner, love the cocktails especially the long island iced tea. Food is lovely and staff are friendly. Always has a lovely atmosphere and feels welcoming :)

Best food I've experienced in Southampton.
Much more than your usual pub grub, this place delivers a high standard of food and presentation.
Don't let the laid back pub style appearance turn you away, The Winston has a fantastic menu, and quality of food difficult to find in Southampton. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck in Hampshire.

Fantastic service, staff friendly and decent prices on food & drink. 2-4-1 drinks went down well and it's within walking distance of home so I can see this becoming a regular haunt for me.

Nice place, convenient for locals, good food and drink options available and great value cocktails. I have experienced some organisation issues with them regarding bookings but my criticism is purely constructive and shouldn't deduct from the fact that the staff are welcoming and do an amazing job at a great venue.
Had lunch here today for our mum's birthday. As soon as we walked in, staff were friendly and accommodating and the food tasty with the meat being cooked through thoroughly unlike other places we've been (I had the nice chicken burger and it filled me up for the day!) The environment of the pub was clean and tidy, a change of pace from the usual sticky-tabled joints and mum loved her delicious passionfruit and honey mocktail that Levi made her. Already thinking of booking ourselves in for Christmas here!
Update: Christmas here was just as great and very reasonably priced as well!
They've done such an amazing job of doing this place up. The beer garden is perfect for the sunshine and the food is great. Cheap and does the job. The cocktails are good value and I love that they've started doing live music and different events.
Had an amazing evening! Sat in the sunshine and the lovely Jess saw we were drinking wine and allowed us a sneak preview into the wine that the have chosen! This pub and staff care. Has a great vibe and can’t wait to come back for a full bottle
