Standard carvery, meal, choice of three meats. Very good selection of peas, roast and mashed potatoes, sweetcorn etc.

The vegetable selection is really good, really enjoyed the roast potatoes. The meet was tender, would be nice if pork was also on the menu.
Our son had a chicken burger which he really enjoyed, the chips did taste the greatest.
I have the pizza which i felt could have been cooked a little longer.
Went for the breakfast, good selection available and all hot and fresh, coffee is lovely. Staff were friendly and keeping busy. Only let down is the toasters which if used once don't toast enough and send bread for a second go and it burns.
the staff were so very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I had reserved a table and we were seated in a quiet corner. We each had a carvery and the food was delicious. The beef was especially good.
Went to the Alma for Christmas day lunch with a family of 11.
We were greeted by very friendly, attentive, happy staff.
The service was excellent, and everything served promptly, but there was no rush.

Carvery and kids chicken dippers were great. Hot porker burger patties were average tasting. Only problem we had was waiting 20+ mins for my daughters brownie dessert. I had to remind the staff before we actually got it.
Been here once before a couple of years ago and was very impressed with my visit but forgot to leave a review, today came back here with my children for a meal which was amazing the service is great, the food amazing and such a family friendly pub which goes above and beyond other establishments.
