Just had the best roast dinner I’ve ever had in a restaurant, chose the three meat combo (beef, chicken and pork), amazing! Especially the beef. Roast potatoes first class. Delicious fresh veg. And a nice bit of crackling! Excellent value for money and brilliant friendly staff. Will be back very soon x

First time we have eaten here for years (have drank plenty tho). The curry was delicious. Service and staff excellent. You need a bit more lighting in that little nook tho

Cosy, real fire creating the warmth and atmosphere of the quintessential English village pub. History in abundance and more importantly great beer served with a welcoming smile.

Lovely old pub in Hamble. Great food and a wide selection of well-kept real ale. Very friendly staff and locals. So if you find yourself in the Southampton area, give it a try...!

We ate & drank here a few times whilst visiting Hamble recently. We came for the HSB which was well kept, served at a good temperature & delicious. There were also 3 other ales which were all good but we kept returning for HSB. We had a lunch and a dinner here & food was good pub grub, tasty & hot but nothing exceptional. However, having seen a couple of pies come out which looked amazing I would definitely order one if we visited again. It was friendly pub with both bar staff & customers ready for a chat. Get a bit more "localish" then some of the pubs in Hamble which we really liked. Dog friendly to boot so all I all very pleased it was our nearest pub.

Wow, the service here is stunning. The food was so good we ate here 2 nights in a row. It was lovely. Thank you for your patience with our party of 8! It was worth the visit.

Nice older location with a warm, inviting interior. The staff were friendly and were good at chatting. Service was prompt and my food came out quickly. Didn't have time to partake in a full meal but I did enjoy my Whitebait which also was the first time I've tried the dish. It was quite tasty and I definitely would eat it again. Nice location and it was an easy walk. I'd recommend a visit to this pub!

Authentic British pub - delicious Sunday roasts (including vegan) and typical pub foods (fish & chips, burgers, etc.). Extensive selection of draft beers. Wonderful service.

Friendly and cozy atmosphere makes the Whyte Harte staff a great classic pub. Worth checking out garden and potting shed which have been transformed for summer. For food, delicious roasts on Sunday and quick supper of fajitas earlier in the week.

With an open fire burning brightly, 2 PM on a Saturday afternoon with a pint of well kept HSB in hand, this was the place to be on a cold crisp day. Many locals gathered in this cosy, dark pub chatting away. We met a little Jack Russell and his owner so this pub is dog friendly. Worth visiting.

Nice pub and good ales, ciders and gins. A pub that has not changed in a way that has lost its charm.

Food was nice but pricey. Service was good but sparse. It wasn't even busy yet Food service was very slow. I understand this is an award winning dining experience, I would have to say that they are not living up to that standard at the moment. Salad was missing a few items and brownies were far too hard.

Absolutely wonderful! We were a party of six and were well looked after from start to finish. We each enjoyed a main course and a dessert. Main courses were fish pie (with fennel in and just the right amount), lamb cooked to perfection, an amazing and very generous pie along with two huge and tasty burgers. Meals served with seasonal veg as appropriate and these were all cooked well. Desserts ordered included sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake and apple crumble- again delicious! The young lady who served us was perfectly attentive but not overbearing. She was courteous and appeared to genuinely enjoy her job as she smiled throughout service. All of this offset with the ambiance and aroma of crackling fire. Lunches don't get better than this.
