I've been using this Chinese for the last 10 years & have never had a bad meal! Highly recommended. Especially the mussels if you love seafood, they're amazing!

Overall this is a good Chinese and we order from here very often. After 25+ yrs using Portswood Takeaway their retirement forced our hand so after many poor local experiences we tried South Ocean & have to say other than occasional issues with temputure the food is excellent, freshly cooked & decent chicken breast in Curries etc.

This is actually a restaurant which serves really good food, so don't be put off by its appearance. Its food is consistently decent and I can't say that for a lot of other restaurants.
Ordered in store and receive my food at an average of 10mins. Very quick considering we order food for 3-4 people. However the order can occasionally be even faster. Delicious food cooked perfectly. One of the best Chinese takeaway in this area without a doubt.
