5 stars for hedge end cod father, just for a change went to west end chippy, large cod lightly batter when I got home couldn't find the fish all batter won't be going there again! Fish ain't cheap seems I payed for batter more than fish�
Really good cod and chips with additional battered sausage.
Cos was a little greasy which is why 4 star this time. Will try again and hope to give 5 star next time.
Service is quick and a fair price.
The wife and I had the Haddock Fillet and chips this evening. I often find chip shop fish to be tasteless but this was the best piece of chip chop fish we've had in years, the chips were lovely also. It's just around the corner from work so will definitely be using again. Highly recommended.

This place has great chips. Only 4 starts due to the wait sometimes can be up to 30mins. But hey if they are busy means people like their food. Also the name. The codfather so good.
Our food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasted great. Excellent fish and chip shop that I would highly recommend
I've put lower ratings than they deserve, reason being it depends what team is working, mostly very friendly and good food, but when the different team is working it's a bad atmosphere and the food suffers, I have also witnessed let's say someone should have more patience before they order staff around.
Food was what I ordered. Service was fast. Staff friendly and had a nice chat with them.

I came inside, and then saw all of the delicious food on the menu, which left me undecided on what I wanted to order. I asked Rob if he had any specials on which he then stated was behind me.. my friend Gemma was behind me and she took offence which was cleared up after a proper laugh. The chips here are always fantastic and prices reasonable. I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar and whether we wanted a bag, whether there was anything else they could do for me and as a valued and regular customer I had no issues writing a review. I've been coming for years and drive a good 20 minutes even though there are plenty of closer places. Definitely recommend.
