They made you feel so welcome and so friendly food was fantastic home cooked I would highly recommend

What a great night out!!
I visited for the first time with some friends to watch the band on a Saturday night, and had an amazing time. The weather was a bit rubbish but there was a huge overhead tarp for the audience, and the band. The pub owners and staff were super interactive with their customers, glasses were collected throughout the night and everyone had a great time.

This is a really lovely place. Everyone gets along and the staff are very friendly. The food is also very good. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and the potatoes are also very nice. I did work experience here for a week and the bosses are great. There are always events happening whether it is live music, darts, etc.
I'd highly recommend this pub for anyone who is looking for an enjoyable night out or looking for somewhere to go for lunch!! :)
Nice little place, staff are really friendly and had a nice chat about upcoming music nights, great drinks selection and good prices. Really big outdoor seating area, looking forward to eating there one evening food looks nice, basic pub grub at a very good price. Can't wait to see some live music again
Our Centre go to this pub with our clients with Autism and learning disabilities. They are so friendly, interact with our clients and make them feel really comfortable and have alot of time for them.

Very well situated and a relaxed feel to this small pub. Reasonable prices and a polite bar staff make this a great place to have a quite pint and maybe a light lunch.
Went to watch the Friday night band and asked for a coffee. Machine didn't work properly so the lady made one in the kitchen for me and had a good laugh about how useless the machine was. Band where excellent and pub very busy.
Love this place. Beautiful pub. Great music. Awesome place for a night out with friends. Four stars because getting served can be a bit drawn out when it's busy, but the staff are friendly and do their very best. Maybe just need more staff on those really busy evenings? Still a great pub though
A long established pub in Itchen Ferry (Woolston), full of history etc. Taken over by a new Landlady that has kept the great atmosphere, and still books very high quality bands. The food is great, especially the breakfast. A nice pub, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service.
Classic pub grub, with plenty of choice on the menu, served quickly and with a smile..
Portion size was decent and it tasted good too..

great food, (best cooked dinner of my week dished up the way I like it) and well priced, this pub has very friendly and helpful staff, customers are friendly and all talk to you (none are the stuck up kind) it's a friendly and homely kind of pub, children are welcome as are your pet's, my only complaint is that for me the music is too loud in the lounge bar and some time's you need to shout to be heard, so please guy's ""turn the wick down!"" (the lounge bar should be a quiet and restful bar not a disco bar!) pub has a nice well lade out garden with covered and heated smoking shelter, all said, you need to try this pub out, its a friendly pub even for new comers!
The Yacht is a nice Pub. ..a place to visit.

The landlady put on a spread at short notice for a family friend, they had to bring wedding forward due to health issue. The landlady provide food, decorated the room, drinks for toast and singer all free of charge . Amazing
