Stopped here for lunch on journey home. Busy but we were able to find a table easily. Fish & chips for him and Hunters Chicken for me - both hot and delicious and plentiful. Last day of our break so .. what the heck - let’s have a dessert! Jam roly poly crumble and custard for me - huge portion and absolutely delicious. Chocolate brownie and ice cream for him (custard was brought to table but quickly replaced by ice cream and I got the extra custard!) Rich and delicious, he said.
Friendly and attentive staff, clean and tidy restaurant and facilities. This place is always on our list for lunch stop. Well worth a visit.
I stopped here today as I had broken down. The staff and locals couldn't have been more helpful. Family friendly pub, food looked amazing and the wine I had was lovely! Would highly recommend x
We had the share platter to start, then 2 steaks and a lamb shank. The meals were excellent, staff were also excellent. Didn't have to wait very long for our meals. We would definitely recommend the food and service. We look forward to going again
We have just attended the Elvis dinner dance night and I have to say it was amazing! The food was out of this world and the ambiance was awesome. What a great night, great crowd, outstanding food! Well done Sarah and team we will be back for the Rat Pack in July. �

I used to live in Wellow, and paid a visit to The Rover with a friend for Sunday lunch. Its a lovely 'local' pub, which I used to frequent often when living in the village. Had a tasty roast beef dinner, whilst my friend had the vegetarian version. Really really good
Oldie woldie charm in this pub/restaurant very reasonably priced food and some food menu offers.
Large eating area indoors and outside in the garden.
Dog friendly too.
Had the pub classic fish and chips with peas which was very nice.
Would definitely call back.

We are the hunters of the best pubs for the weekend, especially Sunday evenings when almost all pubs are closed or their kitchen works only till 5 pm😩- exactly the time when you are hungry like a wolf after the long walk through the Hampshire countryside )) we were lucky to find this lovely local pub and their kitchen is amazing, besides the cosy and very family atmosphere, so we are going to be permanent guests, join us, you will not regret ))👍❤️😍🥰
Visit in May. Lunch with friend. Booked online this morning. Decent pies 🥧🥧, great value and very attentive staff. Good Car Park 🅿️. Real value for money.
A second visit… clearly chosen a ‘difficult day’. Explanation… only one Chef in.. so food delayed. My real issue… choosing to sit in the garden which meant ‘PAY AS YOU GO’. So, drinks ordered… they arrive… go into pay… food ordered (delayed as only one chef) … arrives… go in and pay 😳. Fully appreciate policy might be needed to avoid ‘runners’ who don’t pay but PLEASE surely discretion needed… we’re in our ‘later years’ and clearly weren’t going to RUN FOR IT 😳. PS Garden needs some work. Food good value for money 👍
Probably some of the best food and service we have received. Went in and was greeted by a lovely young lady who got us our menu and seated us. Service was fast, food amazing. They are really dog friendly and have dog bits there to make your fur babies visit just as nice. Would definitely come back again when around that way.

I had a really lovely time! They'd run out of a couple of things, but the waitress explained it all ahead of time and the menu is still really big. We also got brought the wrong food, but the waitress sorted it out as quickly as possible and gave us a few free drinks which was super nice of her. I gave it four rather than five because of the aforementioned things and because the table was quite sticky, but I honestly had a great time and would definitely go again!
What can I say ….. what a lovely warm welcome a home away from home. Chris, Alex and the team made me feel so welcome. The food was delicious, warm, well presented and good value for money! The environment immaculate with subtle lighting. Will defo be visiting again! The staff worked so hard:

Really nice "local" pub with lots of original features, despite the Greene King branding. Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Although it was chain food, it was cooked to order and well presented. The drinks and food were reasonably priced
