The Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis - Southampton - Photo album

Decent Wetherspoons pub. Not the widest choice of guest ales but acceptable. Had a mixed grill, was fine. This is the sort of historic building that Wetherspoons converts so well into pub use. Shame this one on their sale list, here's hoping they have second thoughts as the Ocean Village area is a
First time in this one, and although the atmosphere wasn't as vibrant as the Standing Order the pub was well worth visiting. Good service and a very good pint of Decadence. Will be a shame for locals and tourists if it closes
Atmosphere is good. The waitress served us the drinks and food, she has a sweet smile and very nice. The Fish and chips it's fresh and delicious but unfortunately not the beef burger, it's seem not freshly cook like been sat there for awhile and gone cold. Recommended to go for fish and chips.
Lovely ambience (calming atmosphere, with high ceiling and sufficiently illuminated by sunlight during day time), reasonably priced food, friendly service, good vegetarian options (e.g. quinoa rice with salad, as a side).
Lovely place with a grand looking exterior and interior. Staff were friendly and helpful. This pub is in a building that oozes history of a bygone era. Absolutely love the figurehead behind the bar.
It'll still always be the Cork & Bottle to me, but as Wetherspoons go, The Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis is one of the better ones. Their ever-changing array of ales is the main reason to visit, with some pretty standard food options and a good-sized patio for basking in the sun near Ocean Village.
Older style pub - excellent. Better quality ales & food than The Standing Order (High St).
A Nice place to stop off and have a coffee or a bite to eat. Serves alcohol if you wish and the prices are good, Its clean and the staff are polite, it's quiet no music, just people chatting. Seems Popular.
Much better than your average Spoons. The service is always quick, the food is always well cooked and presented and the staff are always friendly. There's always a good stock of craft beers and gins. A major plus point is that it's not full of the usual Spoons dregs as well.
Great place for a budget meal either before, or after, watching a film at Harbour Lights. It is a Weatherspoons, so you can rely on getting a consistent meal quality, and cheap food & drink deals. Based, as many are, in a characterful older building on the edge of Ocean Village. There is a rumour,
Always decent. Cheap and cheerful. Can't complain. Hopefully they change their mind about closing it down. Prefer this one to Standing Order on the High Street. It's smaller with a friendlier vibe.
Great location, nice helpful staff. Toilets were in need of a good clean but you dont have to walk a Mathon to get to them and they are on the ground floor. There is car parking close by after 6pm it was only £2 for about 7hr. Food was nice and the drink deals were great.
always good food and beer, i like this place as its a little bit posh but still with all the regular stuff a weather spoons offer. Its easy and simple to get what you want and go relax at a table. staff are friendly and you never have to wait around to be served. much better service that other loc
