Went here for the carvery on a Sunday. There were 9 of us altogether and the bill came to just over 200 pounds. This included drinks and a small starter. You are not restricted to the carvery there are other menu choices which our group took up. The staff were efficient and friendly. Plenty of parking in the car park. This a popular place so I would advise booking in advance.

Haven't been for years and visited on a Thursday night. 2 course menu is great value, carvery was delicious and service was great. My partner wasn't overly keen on his burger but the puddings were also very nice. Will def be back sooner next time

Having been quite regularly recently I’ve found the whole experience very enjoyable each time. We’ve had carvery and everything, including the vegetables has been delicious. The service is excellent, they have a very friendly and helpful team. Ambience is lovely as well it’s a nice well kept venue with the beauty of the river by the side. Thoroughly recommend.

We've had several meals here while our kitchen was being refurbished, and we've we've been coming here for occasional meals out for years. Food is always nice and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We usually have the carvery which is usually good. Our only niggle - I can't call it a complaint - is the price of soft drinks, but that seems to be common wherever you go these days and not something to hold against the White Swan.

They are super dog friendly here. They have a dedicated doggy menu board, and treats. The atmosphere is very friendly, and the seating is cosy by the fire, and comfortable everywhere else. On separate occasions we have visited the carvery (no dogs in the restaurant area), which has also been good quality and friendly staff.

This place was very busy and had clearly had some issues with flooding in early January. However it was very well run with the staff being friendly and attentive despite being very busy. The only evidence of the flooding was several items of ruined furniture outside awaiting disposal. Inside was clean and well maintained. Being a large party, we expected a long wait but we were served very quickly. The food was tasty and fresh and ranks in my top five of carveries. Plenty of parking and very child friendly.

We stopped in here for a carvery, and it was amazing. The food was fresh and plentiful, the meat, potatoes and veg were amazing and cooked to perfection one of the best carvery I have had. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking that is free, but you do need to enter your vehicle registration number on entry. 100% worth the visit if you love good food and service.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime, had the carvery and the food was amazing, the servers were very polite and very attentive. Only issue was we were not told if we could go up again like other carveries, so only had the one plate. Am already planning to go back again soon

Highly recommend the Sunday carvery. They serve the most impressive Yorkshire Puddings I have ever seen! Advise booking ahead as they had to turn walk ins away whilst we were there. Would like to give a special mention to Anita (bar staff). She made us feel very welcome and served us our drinks efficiently and with a smile each and every time.

Arrived at the White Swan without a booking at aprox 7.00 -7.15pm ,with no problem getting a table👍😊. Two friends and I had the two course meal menu which I think was £11.95 (main course + sweet or starter+ main course) Two of us has fish and chips and our other friend had a salmon based pie with vegetables etc from the carvery counter. We all had the main course and sweet choice.I had apple & plum crumble with ice cream and my two friends had ice cream. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and came away feeling very satisfied.👍😊

In Southampton for a couple of days over New Year and had breakfast here. Liked it so much the whole family went on New Year's Day. They were able to accommodate us all too...28 of us including children...on one table!!! The food was good (buffet) and very reasonable with the two youngest (under 2 years) eating free. Their daytime carvery looked good too. Would definitely recommend.

I’ll be honest this was way better than I had expected! I often find a carvery can be a bit ‘hit & miss’ but happily this was really rather pleasant! Genuinely tasty food and just over a tenner for a delicious roast lunch. Can’t complain. First visit and happy to return - nice location too for a waterside stroll

Carvery Excellent value for money. Choice of 4 meats which was tasty and tender. Staff so very helpful, the best service I've received anywhere ever. Plenty of disabled parking bays mid week in December.

Lovely pub in a peaceful spot with great river views on a sunny day. But plenty of space indoors if the weather isn't so nice. Best carvery for miles around too. 5*

Lovely place to visit with great views and food. Carvery is the best around! Highly recommend! However, the following has ruined our experience today of a pub/restaurant that we love but the food was still as great as it always is so we have still given 5 stars for this! FYI: Service dogs and assistance dogs are not the same. Assistance dogs are not required by law to be registered or carry an i.d like a service dog would. However they are still covered under the Equality Act 2010 and it is against the law to ask for the reason why someone requires an assistance dog! Making customers feel uncomfortable by trying to call them out on them having an assistance dog is classed as discrimination. Making comments which were clearly heard by the customers and made them feel even more uncomfortable is also classed as discrimination! Please just educate yourself and your staff on the laws around disabilities as not all of them are visible. Thankyou.
