Great food.. Good friendly service and the best onion bhajis..
Really good Indian restaurant. Food is amazing and so is the service .
I have been eating out in Amin's restaurants for 23 years and I can honestly say you will not find a more hospitable friendly place to enjoy a fabulous curry. Soon to open a new Flag ship restaurant in Totton. Station Road. Book early to avoid disappointment. Thanks Amin for many years of top cuisine, look forward to the new restaurant.
They are providing delicious food and customer care.
Great Indian Restaurant - so friendly always make you feel welcome and the food is excellent - and thanks for a superb meal yesterday evening
Amazing food in a friendly atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. If you like your curry a certain way...just ask. Definitely our favourite Indian for years.
Quality food, good service what more can you ask for :)
The Best Indian Restaurant in Southampton!
We used to go near the restaurant for days but never considered eating there; finally, we decided to have dinner on Friday last week; fortunately, they had a table open, so we went there with lower hopes... We ordered the King Prawn Butterfly (a must-try), sweet lassie (also a must-try), garlic naan, Tandoori chicken sauce, and kufta Kachila, we were so satisfied with dishes and will be visiting again for sure..
I really love this place. It’s spacious and extremely clean. The food is absolutely delicious. You just don’t know which one to start with. The staff are professional and so kind. Highly recommend this restaurant. It’s worth every penny!
A very great restaurant in my opinion. As a party of one, I'm treated no different than any other table. I had chicken tikka, followed by chicken Muli (not pictured). The staff don't bother you too much like other restaurants do, but are still attentive to guests. There was a perfect amount of time between courses. Not too little that you're still full from your starter, but not so long that you get bored. I just sat for a bit before paging, because I didn't want to leave, and I didn't feel like I was being pushed out, which was nice, as some restaurants just want to get you out as soon as possible. Families seem to like it here, of all ages too. Would recommend, and have recommended.
Excellent, tasty food with a varied menu and items unique to this restaurant (e.g. the “Railway” which used to be served in 1st class on Indian trains). Friendly attentive service at just the right pace. Pleasant ambiance and a convenient location on Portswood road. Highly recommended for dining in or takeaway.
Highly highly highly recommended. !!! Hidden gem in Portwood. Quite an atmosphere after you entered the restaurant from busy portswood town. The manager recommended a 14.99 deal (any starter main meal / rice and bread) all included since its a Wednesday. The food was served with a good presentation on sisiling hot cast iron dishes and it was delicious and full. We couldn't finish all we had to take back home. Served hot towels and chocolate 🍫 while we waiting for the bill. Highly recommended
Viceroy has such a beautiful, intimate atmosphere. The restaurant was just the right level of busy and the ambience with dim, colourful lights, flowers and oil candles was incredible.
The service was absolutely amazing. Dishant (our server, apologies if I've misspelled) made every effort to make my partner and I feel welcome; he even took our coats for us and held the door on entry and exit. He was wonderfully polite, professionally dressed and gentlemanly.
The food was delicious, flavourful and tasted just as good the next day when we ordered too much and took it home with us! Their mango lassi was the best I have had outside of India. It was very affordable, with starters, drinks and main costing under ÂŁ55 for 2 people - the 10% student discount is a lovely bonus!
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant for a 5 star dining experience all around. We will be coming back again and will bring some friends along to try it out, too!
Good service and friendly staff. I really appreciate their service. Food is affordable. Highly recommend this place. I believe definitely you guys like their service
Amazing food, thoughtful staff and was given a complimentary drink. The food is worth the wait and you can tell it is cooked from scratch. Will definitely be coming again đź’—
Superb! Came here for the first time for a birthday celebration and just booked again for a few weeks time.
Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived without being overbearing. Atmosphere was relaxing with beautiful lighting. And the food was some of the best Indian food I've eaten. We all left feeling very happy and very full!
{Meat Thali - ÂŁ13.95}
Appearance 3.5/5 - Dish nicely placed, too many res/yellow colour (Suggestion: Add some green vegetable)
Taste 3.5/5 - it's salty for a person who likes mild taste. However, the variety of the dishes adds some score to that
Texture 4.5/5 - The white carrots, beef tendons and the beef briskets are all soft and chewy.
Size of the dish - Medium - Large
Service 4/5 - Answers questions regarding the menu, but giving vague answers like 'good'
Environment 4/5 - Warm, chill music, standard Indian design
Temperature - Boiling
Others - The size of the rice is small, a bit burning in the food
Comment - Quite expensive, there is other options for Indian cusine
Overall - 3.5/5
