Always the place to go for good value and amazing food. Definitely recommend their pie, mash and veg. No better pub locally.

Service was a bit slow, but for us it was worth the wait for very nice home cooked food, and very nice waiting staff. Restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and gave it a rustic feel. We will be going back there sometime soon

Not been here for a few years and the improvements are impressive! Previously a fairly standard pub with dining has become a fresh, quirky and sumptuous establishment with friendly staff, good food and a warren of nooks and crannies to seat yourself in and drink up the atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit!

Staff were great. Very attentive and not-pushy. Lovely setting for a rainy Sunday roast. Food was exceptional. Fish and chips were on point - especially the size for a pub serving!

Great pub with solid food, ale and service. One of the nicest I’ve been to in this area. Awesome atmosphere and different vibe in different parts of the place.

Lovely meal. Gluten free options are marked on the menu and you’re provided with a tablet that shows all allergens and calories. Service was a touch slow but it was very busy. Looking forward to going back to try a few more meals. The salad was very nice

A pleasant experience, nice atmosphere could easily hold a conversation with a good level of background music/noise. Comfortable table for 2. Slight delay between main and being able to order dessert. Mobile card terminal not performing with the WiFi.

We had a 2 roast dinner and fish and chips . Lovely pub/restaurant. Friendly staff. Food was very good especially roast , the postures nicely cooked, not anaemic like some places, came automatically with extra gravy ! Spot on ! Daughter enjoyed fish and chips very tasty. The toffee pudding and banoffee cheesecake was devilishly yummy! Definitely be back 🙌

Lovely refurbishment to the restaurant, great extension, loads of seating and the interior decor was excellent. Service was great and food was excellent. Lost one star and the menu did not have as many options as The Osborne View which is down the road and owned by the same company (Hall & Woodhouse). I would definitely wouldn't hesitate to visit again though!

We arrived here late after a bad experience at a different place and I'm so pleased we came. The staff were lovely, welcoming and smiley! Found us a table quickly - the layout is great with lots of space so you're not sitting on top of another table - and we felt really relaxed. We all had a roast; my eldest son had chicken and my younger son and I had the beef and wow, it was melt in the mouth! Gorgeous flavour, well cooked and 3 decent slices. Plenty of lovely roasties and four different veg including red cabbage which was lovely! My son had chicken and it was enormous and came with stuffing too, he reported it was also moist and cooked to perfection. Lots of gravy in individual jugs so you can pour as much as you like and there was plenty. Price wise it was value for money and even the decaf coffee was excellent, we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Popular impressive pub and restaurant that has a lot of tables both inside and out. The food menu is varied, with additional specials, and good dessert choices too. If you want to eat it might however be advised to book, which you can do online via their website. Also did a good value 3 course Christmas meal for £30 in Dec. Which I've added the extra photos for.

Spectacular renovation that cost the brewery £1.3 million!!! A truly wonderful example of money well spent. I didn't eat on this visit, but the meals I witnessed being served looked substantial and fresh. The staff here are young, friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help you with any queries or assistance. I have promised to take my niece, her husband and their 2 children, here for a meal...very soon. Large, well marked car park with several disabled bays, lovely terrace with plenty of seating and shade. Highly recommended.

It was very busy with lots of Christmas party people meeting and drinking before going on out. We were a group of 4 and had booked a table at 745pm. The staff were excellent, all working so hard. The atmosphere was great, happy and fun. The recent refurbishments are lovely. Beautiful chandeliers and lots of areas of interest. We were all very pleased with our meals. I had the flat iron steak which was perfectly cooked. It is lovely to have a pub close to home that I feel happy to recommend to others. We will be back.

This is a lovely dining pub with a good atmosphere and excellent ales and cider. Food had good quantities and was good value for the price. If I was being picky the pate was nothing special and the mains could have been a little hotter, but overall a very pleasant place for a meal with friendly staff.

We have been multiple times and I thought it’s time to write a review. We have had a number of lovely family occasions eating at The Talisman. Everytime we have been we have been really well looked after by the team, especially Amber who has now served us multiple times and is always warm, friendly and professional and goes the extra mile, we were also served by Olivia today who was really sweet and looked after our table, the food has always been great. It’s got a really lovely feel to the pub and a great atmosphere.

Popped in for a quick weekday lunch at The Talisman. The decor was inviting, with lots of cool and quirky spots to grab a table. The food was good, if a little pricey, but the coffee and cake deal was a hit and good value. We'll certainly visit again, maybe in the Summer as the outdoor patio area looked lovely.
