One of Hampshires gems, a beautiful riverside pub with a great atmosphere, an excellent menu and terrific good food. For those wishing to sit outside, there is a glazed covered seating area with warming blankets provided for those cooler days. Internally the pub is full of character.

Such a gorgeous pub right on the river! We just had a fantastic lunch there (highly recommend the pie). The quality of everything is so great, and service was fast and friendly. They are also dog friendly and have pupcups available to order, even better the money from their sale goes to charity. Will definitely be back in summer.

Had a lunch at the Jolly Sailor after a long walk along the Hamble. Beautiful views and a great selection of both beer and food. Nice to sit outside even on a cold day. Couldn't fault the service either.

Local friends brought us here to discover British culture. We just loved it. The design and decoration is great, always something to look at. It was nice seeing people on canoes leaving and coming (sunny day). The menu had a lot of variety. I was surprised by the poke bowl just amazing! Would definitely come back. Staff professional too!

I came for valentine's day and the food was fantastic! We had the steak sharer which was good value and more than enough for two people. The camembert was perfect, nicely seasoned. They also had a fair selection of desserts. Service was really good and they adapted the menu to suit our requirements. Lovely pub, with a homely feel. Real fire and fantastic views. Highly recommended, will be back 🙂

Lovely, not been for a while, but will definitely be back soon. We were a bit short of time and our waitress sorted us out which was really helpful. We both had steak frites, delicious. This ahas always been one of my favorite pubs, and we were not disappointed. If I ever wanted to show off the local area to a visitor, the Jolly Sailor is one of the places I would come.

Very tasty Beef Sunday roast. Lucky to have free space with no booking at Sunday afternoon. Beautiful place by the Hamble River with lots of paddle boarders / kayakers. This pub has their own beer made for them - “posh” lager which was nice.

Great location beside the river. Small private dock if you come by dinghy or launch but not big enough for a yacht. Great food and atmosphere.

A very pleasant hidden away location. Lovely old building will low exposed beam ceilings and many great outdoor seating locations as well. Meals tasty with good portions and cheerful, willing staff. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Prices a little high compared to similar Australian venues but I would pay it again.

A true English pub with low ceilings, beams, a fireplace, lovely views and great beer. The food was excellent, the portion sizes were very generous and the espresso was spot on. Tables are laid out in a way that feels cosy and not overlooked. Staff were friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful place. Log fire, views of the moorings. Staff extremely friendly. However, if you are a veggie I wouldn't recommend eating here. I had the beetroot wellington. Tasted like dirt. The kale was gritty, and the potatoes were so dry I had to ask for some butter. We were comped a dessert, which I didn't think was enough, as I returned all but one mouthful of the wellington and half the kale. I'll return for a drink, but I'll give eating there again a miss.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely outside area with electric heaters, great for sitting outdoors in winter. The inside is also so nice, the theme carries out through the whole place as well as the drinks options, providing an overall happy experience.

Quite busy and on the expensive side. Excellent quality food, with well kept Badger beers on tap. We had the fish pie which is in a pastry crust, very nice. Desserts were okay but a little underwhelming. Fully dog friendly. No cash, card only. Book in ng on the website worked but changing the booking doesn't, you have to phone them. Parking on the road is very limited, but the free car park at Bursledon station is 5 minutes walk. The steps from the road are not ideal for those with mobility issues. There is a ramp which will take a wheelchair, but it's long and steep.

Currently sitting here finishing my wine and just had to write a review. This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The hake was absolute perfection! Thank you.
