We came last night for quiz night and dinner, at first we were rejected as we hadn't booked, but we insisted when we saw an empty table. Prices are so cheap for food. Good quality price, so much choice, it was hard to choose. We started with nachos and then a burger and kebab. Just great while quizzing. 80 questions but time flew. £1 to play and the winners win the amount collected. So the more the merrier. Will definetly come back!
A lively and spacious pub in the middle of West End. On a Friday or Saturday it's always bustling. If you fancy watching sports then it's ideal. There's a good jukebox with a broad range of musical genres, a pool table, dart board, plenty of seats (inside and out), dedicated smoking area, parking and a broad bar with plenty of drinks choices and fast and friendly staff too. The toilets are good and the lighting and decor give the large bar area a cosy feel.
Fun, lively and busy.
Not tried the food yet....the Guinness is good though.
We ate in here as we were staying at the Ageas Bowl before our cruise. The food and service was outstanding, and big portions which were good value for money. The double chicken burger was amazing.
Came here for the 2021 Christmas display. We and the kids loved it, amazing and well set up. The COVID staff were super friendly and kept everyone distanced and moving along nicely.

Came down to the west end brewery after a hard day at work and was served by one of the staff Amy and took great care of my table couldn’t ask for any better
I visited it on a Saturday afternoon during a football match between Man City and Liverpool and I was surprised at how quiet and calm everyone was. There was of course a bit of noise when a goal was scored but it was at a perfectly acceptable level for a pub.
I ordered 4 meals, (2 were the big ones you see advertised) with some sides and drinks and it came to just shy of £40, the food came out displayed as in the picture and honestly was absolutely fantastic. It was got and well cooked, it certainly didn't look like they cheaped out on any of it.
This is definitely a great place to go for a lunch for the food, the atmosphere is much more in line with a 'local' so don't come if you are expecting a restaurant atmosphere but if you are happy to grab a meal with friends or family while ha in a couple drinks then I definitely recommend it.
Had some drinks and food here which was good quality and value for money. Child friendly. Lovely staff. Would recommend and definitely revisiting.

Nice meal, it was a bit noisy due to football and rugby being on.
Popped in On a Friday night couple of weeks ago to meet friends and have some food, pub was buzzing which is nice to see we had booked a table and there it was in the corner.
Orderd the fish platter,it was lovely really enjoyed it and our friends did too. I think the barman said it was the chefs first night...they did well.
Left very content and went back home to Pompey, friendly staff and good food too.
Will return.
We arrived late after watching the Hundred at the Ageas Bowl.
William and Val were really accommodating. We were late as food for children had stopped being served.
William was great and allowed us in, while Val stayed late to help feed our hungry family of 6.
The locals were a lovely bunch too
