Have walked to this pub many times since moving to Bishops Waltham 2 years ago. Staff are very friendly and have made us feel at home on every visit. Have eaten here a as a couple & with friends and the food is always good, especially Sunday lunch. On our latest visit there was a pop up kitchen and
Went for a walk on Saturday afternoon and came across this place, but we had read good things about it. What a great, proper old pub this is. Bar staff so genuine and nice. A few locals with their dogs sitting at the bar, and a couple of table occupied. Garden looked lovely in the sun. It dimly lit
We stopped quite late for lunch but the owners were very happy to make food up for us, including 2 half size fish and chips as we're not big eaters. My friend was extremely happy to find quality cider for sale, and the beer was pretty darn good too. đź‘Ť
What an absolute gem of a pub. The staff are very outgoing and friendly, the food is excellent and they have a great selection of beer. I look forward to our next visit.
Outstanding Sunday roast in the most beautiful quaint pub! Can’t recommend it enough. Every bite on the plate was delicious and obviously made with love- from the gorgeous rare organic aged beef to the cauliflower cheese and all the trimmings it was delicious! The pub is in a pretty and peaceful vil

Didn't eat on this visit. Just popped in on a Saturday afternoon with a group of walkers. Great to see it was really busy. Nice pint of Flacks Double Drop. Great village pub.
Lovely pub, very busy, I had half a pint of Christmas Cracker. Sadly I think it was well beyond its date as cloudy and quite acidic but the lovely pub and the atmosphere made up for it. Quick service too
Excellent little pub, as you can see from the photo, lots of character - rare these days. Service was super, food was delicious & reasonably priced. I forget the dog's names, but will definitely be back to see them and sample some more of the menu. Worth a visit!
