Outstanding. Simply outstanding. Generous portions of delicious food, served by a wonderful waitress, and cooked by a lovely bloke. Absolutely couldn’t fault this place. Really superb value for money.

Our first visit and we will definitely return! We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in and the service throughout was impeccable. The selection of dips were really tasty and we had lovely warm pittas. The accompanying salad was excellent - big chunks of high quality feta and plenty of ripe tomatoes and olives. We enjoyed all the dishes, potentially our favourites being the stuffed vine leaves and chicken, but it was hard to choose. We really liked the decor, you feel like you are in a real restaurant, not a chain. Very reasonably priced and a great location for a pre-show meal at the Guildhall.

This place is lovely. A real gem. Its low key and unassuming. The food is great, the staff fantastic and it's very reasonably priced. I had mixed souvelaki, and my wife had moussaka. Would come again and recommend to others. They don't take plastic so will need to have cash or bank transfer. Also they are busy so will need to book

My partner walks past Blue Island on his way to work and for many years wanted to dine in but never had the opportunity to. This was until he and I decided to try this restaurant out of curiosity. And were we glad we did. The moment we walked in, it was like we were transported to someone's homely dining room in Santorini as the white and blue colour motif was reminiscent of the island. The main chef, who's behind the kitchen opening greeted us at the door. Staff overall were very friendly and welcoming. Service was quick and efficient as well. I ordered the moussaka which was simply delicious- soft and fluffy with a subtle creamy flavour and at the same time packed with mince meat. The size looked small at first glance but it proved to be quite filling towards the end. My partner, who had the chicken souvlaki, enjoyed his dinner all the same as the chicken was melt in your mouth tender and seasoned perfectly. All mains come with a generous portion of Greek Salad and crispy, fluffy chips. It was definitely well worth the money spent as servings were massive. Some things to consider, this is a no debit/ credit card restaurant so try to find a cash point before going in. Toilets are after the first flight of stairs and are immaculately clean. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended for those who love Greek food. We will surely come back.

Best Greek restaurant in Southampton, good host, great food, the quality is superb and worth coming in every aspect. Recommend this place for everyone. Bring cash though, they do not accept cards here.

We love the Greek islands, and this place makes us feel like we're back there. A combination of restaurant decor, friendly Greek hospitality and generous portions of authentic Greek food. This place is a gem, and one of our go to's for before seeing a show at the mayflower. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. This time I had the buyourdi to start, and a mixed souvlaki (pork and chicken) as main. The saganaki to start is a firm favourite too. Another option is the meze (requires a minimum of 2 people) which is offers great value and enables you to try most of the dishes on the menu (do mention if there's anything specific you don't like, and they'll serve an alternative for that dish), but it's definitely a great option if you're not sure what to choose; taking this option you'll be sure to find you favourite for next time you visit!

Went to Blue Island for my hubby's birthday dinner. We were greeted with a lovely smile. We ordered the Meze and what can I say......WOW! Lots of lovely dishes, dips and bread. There was a mixture of meat and fish. It was delicious.....and sooooo much that we couldn't finish it. Definitely value for money. We will return

I'd like to say as huge thank you to Christina and Simon! Their hospitality has been fantastic. For my 30th Birthday they were kind enough to close the restaurant for the night (as we booked every seat in the restaurant), organised a band and threw a great evening. The food is great and truly greek, having has the mezze it seems like the food is endless - though all top quality. It's well priced, friendly and a great place to eat. I would highly recommend Blue Island and shall be back! (Having already been back since my birthday)

Love this little gem of a place. Lovely staff, great service and the food is excellent. Have got the mixed meze twice now. £25 per person for more food than we could eat. Delicious grilled meats, warm pitta with homemade dips, greek salad etc. Will definitely be back!

Best Greek restaurant in Southampton run by a family that care about the food and their customers. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Booked to go on a Wednesday. It was a lovely place, very relaxed, very friendly, lovely atmosphere. A gem in the centre of town. Ordered the meze for two and it was fantastic. So much variety and great tasting fresh food. So much that I couldn't actually finish and I am a big eater. We took a doggy bag home. I would honestly say to anyone to speed an evening here. Well priced as well. We shall return. Lovely front of house lady and a great chef . Very impressed

It's a nice little cafe/restaurant in high Street which serves delicious Italian food. I had the lamb dish and the lamb deliciously succulent. The staff is really friendly as well and the place starts bustling in the late evenings. A must try.

We were a week ago with my family. We were passing through the city and found it by chance. An absolute gem, authentic treatment by the couple who run it and absolutely fantastic food. Recommended 100%. Greetings from your Barcelona fans!!!

Excellent food, lovely service. All that you want from a Greek Taverna. Only reason for 4 stars is that they don't take cards - cash or cheque only.
