Authentic Afghan cuisine. The food was fresh and tasty. No disappointment at all. We ordered the Lamb shank Qabuli Pulao, Lamb tikkas, Tandoori roti and at the end Sheer Yakh. The taste of Everything was exquisite.
It’s my 1st time visiting London and loved the food.
Customer service was good. The owner himself made sure we've been treated well.
Since the restaurant is in South Hall which is a busy place there's a difficulty in finding car parking.
Authentic Afghani cuisine and restaurant, we ordered a Lamb Karahi and Butter Chicken, both excellent and so tasty! The seating area is split between chairs and tables and an authentic wooden platform where you sit without chairs and eat on the floor. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Would recommend to everyone!
We have been at this place a few times. Their food, staff, ambience, quantity, atmosphere everything is good.
You can go with family, friends, colleagues. They take reservations which is very good.
Their staff are polite. There is a nearby paid car park, you can park safely and enjoy your meal.
Overall I will recommend this place 👍🏻
It’s my 3rd year that I have been moved to London and I visited many restaurants here in London but I never have gotten the real Afghan food taste. Karwan Restaurant is the one where I got the real Afghan food taste. I strongly recommend Namak Mandi Lamb Karhai, Kabuli Polao, Greens, Bolani and Chopan Kabab. I tasted and eaten all of them I really enjoyed that.
Customer service: It was Saturday and the restaurant was really busy still the customer service was outstanding we got food within 30 minutes and the waiter and waitress were taking such good care of us.
Desert was tasty and amazing.
In last, they served us Green and Zafrani tea as complementary that was 10 of 10.
First time here, the food was absolutely nice, the place was a bit crowded but I guess it is a popular restaurant.
The best restaurant in the world.
Also, the staff are amazing especially Mr Ikram. He is amazing guy.
I will come back again and again.
Thank you Ikram🤲🏻

We first went to Luton branch and they told us they have another branch in Southall. It was our wedding anniversary and my Mrs wanted to have afghan food..
Ordered chopan kebab, Chapli kebab and qabli pulaw. My lil one really enjoyed rice and sheer yakh. Everything tasted really good apart from the daal which was cold.
Only if they had a nappy changing facility it would have been amazing.
Note : please open another branch somewhere near Kent so we don't have to travel all the way to Luton or Southall
Firstly, the food is fresh and tasty. You won't be disappointed with what you order, especially the well-known popular Afghan dishes. Now for a few negative points.. parking nearby is a nightmare. Service is slow when a bit busy. Expect a 30-40 mins wait for your food. Small, cramped tables especially if there are 5 of you in your group as they give you a table for 4 people, plus there is no room on the table for the dishes you order and your actual dinner plates and drinks. The night we went, there were a few families with screaming/crying babies, and generally the place is noisy. Not the place to go for a quiet meal, but definitely go for the tasty food. Finally, they give complimentary rooh-afza and dates for Iftar
Good sized portions, good quality food and fast service - can't go wrong!
Only thing I would say is you should provide tap water not only bottled water
Recommended by a friend to visit. I called beforehand as it was time for closing they said they can accommodate us to which they did 5 guests. They serve Afghan food and plenty of seating area and upstairs they have place for events. Upon entering We were seated right away on a table which was for 4 but we managed another large group leaving we were reseated to a larger seating area which we were very grateful for. The staff she was very attentive, friendly and professional. The order came 20mins and we ate everything. I personally enjoyed the grilled sea bass fish with naan and Chapli Kebab. I requested the chicken briyani to be mild and they did cater to my needs. It would’ve been a 5star had the chicken briyani was served hot which was a slight let down and price for value but overall enjoyed my experience visiting Karwan. The kids enjoyed seeing the little fishes by the seating area, have a look at the video I uploaded.
Karwan restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and promptly seated. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and our meals were incredible. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients were outstanding. The staff made us feel like valued guests throughout the whole evening. I'm already looking forward to my next visit."
I had a great time at Restaurant Karwan. The staff, especially Ikram, were very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and modern, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant and give it a 5-star rating.
Amazing Afghan food with a fish tank under your feet 🤩
🍽️ Dishes I recommend: kabuli pilau, mantu has my heart and the mix grill is great for big groups.
Great spot for family dinners and they serve massive portions. We ate in the private booths where you eat in the traditional way on the floor.
I WAS TOLD ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT BY SOMEONE AND WE CAME AND MAYBE HAD ONE THE BEST FOODS WE HAVE HAD! ME AND MY PARENTS ENJOYED SO MUCH. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. WE COULD NOT FINISH THE FOOD SO THEY NICELY PACKED IT FOR US. UPSTAIRS, THEY HAVE AMAZING SEATING WHERE YOU SIT ON CARPETS. GREAT SERVICE BY IKRAM. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.
