What a lovely little pub, the layout is nice, with a touch of cosiness on a cold winters evening. A great selection of beverages! Perfect for a quite drink.
The staff/owner were very welcoming, a touch of great/honest customer service was applied when my partner ordered a Martini &lemonade, he took the time to educate her how it should be served (50mil shot for a single not 25mil) which shown pure respect to his customer!
The beer (Guinness) tasted as good as you'd probably find out of Dublin.
So overall very satisfied and will definitely return!
Went yesterday with my husband, son and grandson, Chris the landlord was very friendly, the food was suberb all home made and fresh, lovely little country pub and the guinness was excellent if it wasn't for driving my husband would have stayed all day, highly recommend this pub and will return.
Driven by for many years & always said we must try there. Glad we eventually did. Service was very friendly and the home cooked food was Devine. Well worth a visit

We visited this pub one evening when staying in a local holiday let. The Owners instantly made us and our Dog feel welcome, they couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely meal and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit.
We recently moved to the area and the staff at the old yew tree have welcomed us with open arms. The pub itself is full of character inside, with a great beer selection and we also sampled the Sunday lunch which was delightful, you could tell it was all fresh ingredients. The staff are so friendly which is really nice and what I as a person appreciate. We have now made it our regular spot and will continue to visit.

Recently moved to the area and tried the old yew tree inn, was very delighted on entry the pub held nostalgia from my childhood of how a pub should be. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food was perfect, will be visiting often.

Food is absolutely excellent, brilliant portion sizes (especially the Sunday lunch which is out of this world). A great variety of drinks as well as brilliant staff and a very clean place. Highly recommend!

We visited the pub towards the end of a circular walk through South Wingfield. Good selection of beers, warm fireplace and muddy boots welcome.
A lovely pub & the owners are so friendly. They do a fantastic veggie Sunday Roast.
We had a family meal here last Sunday to celebrate my Dads birthday. There were 6 of us and 2 dogs. Staff were very friendly, and the home cooked food was fab. Choice of 3 meats in 3 sizes (S, M & L), reasonably priced.
Beer was Bass, not had this for years - and was delicious pint.
Pub was very dog friendly - thanks for a fab time. xxx
