Love this place. Discovered recently since moving into the area and wow! Talk about delicious. Always fresh hot pizza, daily salad is consistently amazing, ate here 3 times in the last couple of weeks. New favourite. Highly recommend the cocktails.

All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming and to make the place even better it’s dog friendly! Will definitely be coming back.
Would recommend reserving a table as space is limited, however you can get pizzas to takeaway and there is outside space to sit in and this location is a stones throw from the beach.

100% recommend. From high quality dough to the fresh ingredients this pizzeria moves in to my top 3 pizza restaurants, as it is the weekend of the great north run I had to wait for the pizza. However, it is worth the wait. I enjoyed a great pint of Camden Town in the sunshine before taking the short walk down to beach to carb load ready for race day.

By far the best pizza in south shields. Lovely place to eat in or out. Open kitchen so you can see what's going on. First time from using this gem of a place. We ordered a margherita and a spicy meat feast with two garlic dips. Fantastic dough with lovely charring on the edge of base, my daughter who is veggie said it is hands down the finest margherita she has ever had. My spicy meat feast was very good, the little drop peppers where a revelation they popped in my mouth and were so sweet to compliment the chilli base sauce along with the pepperoni & njuda. The one small gripe i had was that the jalapeños were the pickled variety, if they'd of been fresh it would of been perfect. Saying that it in no way detracted from the expirience. Summary i shall return again and sit iin next time. Please if you love pizza then this place is very very very good. This place and Gallo Nero do the best in the town as they both know that a quality base and quality ingredients make a taste sensation. Up north also cater for vegan's and alcohol. Our score 10/10
Absolutely loved our first time having pizza at Upnorth. Ive been in during the day for cuppas and cakes and they've been delicious...but their pizzas are even better. Fab customer service and suggestion of trying the chilli honey dip. We ended up buying a bottle to take home because it was so so good! Great range of drinks and craft beers too. Perfect prep and serve time and perfect pizzas! Will be back soon for sure.
Absolutely amazing pizza, great flavour and the crusts (which I normally don't like) were light and fluffy - I ate them all! Good range of drinks to accompany too and the dogs even got a puppuccino each. We will definitely be back!
If you are missing the pizzas from little green, Sandyford, then a visit here is a must. Former LG pizza chef Steven is at his excellent best, his pizza dough is outstanding, the passion he has for creating top quality pizzas is clear to see and taste! LG vegan favourites Rustica and Diavlo are on the menu alongside Up North creations both vegan and non vegan. Though not on the menu a really nice salad was made for me, there is a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The venue is really cute and clean, staff super friendly, good music playing, a few minutes from the beach.... We loved it and will definitely visit again.
Spot on. Proper Napolitan style sourdough pizza. As close to Naples as one can be. Always delicious. Pizza, cakes, prosecco. Few visits now and perfect every time. Owners and staff super friendly and accommodating. Always a treat! Thank you!
Love it. If you want a treat, freshly made dough and ingredients, made in a proper kiln, also vegan option pizza, stunning cakes - Up North is the place. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, reasonable prices and gorgeous food.

1st time tonight....Absolute quality Pizza..... so light n so tasty..... melted in my mouth and the flavours were awesome... top quality ingredients used with you can tell with the taste.....also got myself 3 tins of San Marzano Tomato's from a good selection of products they sell, which you don't normally find anywhere. ...I Will definitely be back...5 ☆
I never normally leave reviews but the vegan pizza I had was so good that it deserves praise. The best pizza I have ever had. The staff are so friendly too.
Went to Up North for the first time for my birthday meal. The food was fantastic but what really topped the night was the people that worked there, 11/10 would highly recommend for both quality of food and service.
Popped in for a coffee, noce atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely coffee....will be back.
