The Criterion - South Shields - Photo album

Visitsd with my Boyfriend and Brother as part of the real ale festival. Gorgeous Victorian decor like sitting in a grand sitting room, two coal fires which made the room cosy and the smell of the fires brought back some fond memories. Staff were friendly chatty and polite had a good bit of banter.
A lovely relaxing, cosy traditional pub with real fires and a good real ale selection. Great food selection.
Upstairs only, no accessibility options for those with limited mobility. Good selection of drinks and food
Hot to be one of the best Sunday roasts I've had. Had the lamb shank, was beautiful highly recommend 👌
Best pub in south shields. Cozy, friendly staff, good beer, and excellent snacks
Went for Sunday Lunch. Table very sticky but I find this in alot of places, it's the cleaning stuff they use for the tables. Requested no mash potatoes. On arrival of our plates my company all has swede/turnip but I didn't so we had to ask for some. Lovely service
Beautiful one room bar.. original Victorian fixtures. Lovely smell of the coal fire, reminds me of Beamish.. they no longer serve food (at the time of writing this) a pint of Coors light was £3.
Great little pub with a classic, cosy local pub feel. Warm in the winter with a log burner fire. On a weekend there's always people in making creating a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service. Generous amount of board games available to use during your time there.
Lovely bar two big live fires. On Sundays they have complimentary sandwich yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes beautiful food
Went here for bottomless brunch, cocktails (apart from the majito) were great and there was plenty of food. The staff were very attentive. It's popular so until the brunches have finished so it's very noisy. Would go back
