Great tasting ice cream...busy place looked short staffed for Bank Holiday Monday. Thoroughly enjoyed our ice creams!

Ordered 4 sundae ice creams. All different. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Knew the ice creams. Minchella's ice cream is one of the best and certainly worth it. I would recommend visiting one of their many ice cream bars

The staff here are absolutely amazing. Didn't catch his name but the lad serving was genuinely one of the nicest people ice ever met. Ice cream and coffee are outstanding

Often take my Dad here for his coffee and toastie. All the girls know him when he comes in on his own he just takes a seat and there bring his coffee to him. Lovely staff and management.

Thus place hasn't changed in the last 40 years that I know of, & is very popular with the older customer. It had it's charm though & makes great ice cream. I'd recommend the knickerbocker glory.
I've been going to Michelleas since I was a child and I've taken my kids since. The place has hardly changed in all those years. Still lovely ice cream and coffee with very friendly staff.
Nice little parlour with a wide range of ice cream treats. Only down fall is the toilet facilities are outside of the parlour and up a set of stairs so it's not disabled access.
Minchella's has always been THE place to go in South Shields for ice cream. They have an other restaurant on the sea front too. My son recently toured Europe eating ice cream from everywhere he stayed, and when he came home he said the best ice cream, is Minchella's! Nice staff, and its like the set
