Had a b’day buffet lunch for 20. The staff were great and food very generous/great quality. The location across from the sea is excellent, parking is tricky but lots of on road parking. Thanks to the staff for making it a great afternoon. Plus it is dog friendly.
One of my favourite Green King establishments - the photo is of the mixed grill, gammon was a little oily but otherwise lovely!
No disabled access in the front, but round the back you can easily get in.
We were told food would be a 30min wait. Came within 15mins. Food came piping hot, great portion. Sadly didn’t get a photo but had a mixed grill. Better than the new crown down the road. I like the optional seniors menu too - something you don’t often see. Will definitely be coming back!
Very good food, tasty and well cooked, backed up by good polite and quick service.
Very very full when there. Every table was occupied, mind you the Great North Run was being setup at the time, so this more likely counted for the full restaurant.
Fabulous sandwich that was more like a foot long affair but absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff.
Excellent food and service as a coeliac I find eating out difficult but when I asked for a gluten free menu and this was sprayed and cleaned before handing it to me this made such a different that the staff understood. My order was brought out before the others that I was dinning with and for once
Not only Dog friendly , but friendly staff, and great outdoor seating . Worth a visit.

Standard chain pub, big space though and great views out the back. Sports on Tele. Standard chain pub food but recently got a new menu. Larger choice of lagers available and a couple of craft beers. Pool table too.

Good place to stop when on a coast walk, we didn't eat there so can't rate the food. Nice seating area with good views

The staff were excellent, very helpful and added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was pre-ordered, no problems and we were well catered for extra requests and deserts/drinks. Nothing a problem. Food was decent and a good portion size.
Without a doubt the best pub in South shields.. Beautiful inside... Food is amazing and we'll worth the money... And reasonable prices for drinks... This place never let's me down!!!
