One of the biggest Spoons Casta has ever visited. We have been before many times but it is 5 or 6 years since our last visit. It has massively extended internally and also has a huge beer terrace. It lacks character but the staff are well trained and spot on. Casta had a Hadrian Borders Farne Island 4% ale. Very good, especially with a 50p CAMRA voucher. Locals tell me the kitchen csn get really busy.

Popped in for a few Jars...ended up on the Jugs and food, even though the prices have increased still decent value and the sharing plates were plentiful and tasty. One of the biggest spoons I've visited and has a big beer garden to boot, brilliant.

Great place to eat, food very tasty- Devon (?) the chef should be highly regarded. Atmosphere was great, and the layout of the restaurant was roomy and relaxed. Very reasonably priced. The only downside was the peas- not cooked in salt and not cooked enough.

No surprises regarding food selection and value for money. The usual Wetherspoons menu, can't go wrong. Service was very good. This is a popular place and just managed to get a table. As usual, can order using the App.

We only popped in for one drink at about 10.30pm on a Friday, it was relatively quiet with lots of tables free. Good place to go if you want to talk.

When the food arrived it was well cooked and presented. We waited a whole for our meals but the staff were very helpful. Would recommend

Typical wetherspoons pretty much all the same, but well reasonable prices and not a bad selection of real ales, great outside area for when it's sunny

Fully refurbished and made bigger by taking over the nightclub next door. Outside seating area with lots of tables inside. Massive improvement on old building. Staff friendly and helpful, good food and drinks menu at great prices.

There's something to be said for consistency. Decent food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and unlimited cuppas. What more can you ask for when you're out and about and famished?

Full English breakfast was good. Drink as much tea/coffee as you want when paying for 1 cup. No Americano coffee so drank Latte which was good..

The food while still good, missed a lot of the garnish that they used to serve. Decent enough range of cask ales on tap

Visited the new and improved Wouldhave three times now. Very impressed! Great re-vamp, looks lovely inside with one of the best outdoor spaces, verandas, I've had the pleasure to visit, best in Shields! Food great value for money, had the mixed grill. Would definitely recommend a visit be it just for drinks or for a meal. I will be back!!!

It's a decent wetherspoons. Loads of space indoors and outdoors. Wheelchair accessible, just up from a few other pubs aswell, great place to go for food and a pint before you start a pub crawl

The building and interior setup may be different to other Weatherspoons but been to 1 Weatherspoons you've been to them all. Drink selection was pretty good. Food options wasn't the best.

It's a bog standard Spoons but you know what you're going to get, there is plenty of space and the people were nice. I had a couple of decent pints from the Allendale brewery. I'd go back in gladly.
