I have used this Fish shop since being young and lived in the area. I now live further away in South Shields but have never changed my regular shop.
Over the years these fish and chips have never wavered and are still as great as they ever were.
I put these as best I have ever had
Staff are amazing and food is to die for. The fresh prawns and lobster are the best I've tasted, costing me a fortune! 🤣

Iv got to be honest.. this chippy has the best chips sround our town.and you can buy lots of fish, not judt cod n haddock. Everytime i walk in to this chippy. The owner says Hello there how you doing. N his staff our lovely lasses down to earth. Well done green lane chippy

I have been going here for years and the quality of the fish is second to none and they are always willing to travel and find the best fish, Unfortunately the chips are absolute disgusting.
I will still give you a 5 star but you need to something about your chips !!
Have visited this fisheries a number of occasions and would like to say it is the loveliest food I have tasted in a very long time. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the fish. Would score a massive 10/10 every time 😃

Very tasty fish and chips and not a bad price. The shop is usually full, although there are a lot of happy friendly staff willing to help. No car park but there is a side road and main street. I don't think you would be able to get a wheelchair in without a squeeze. Well worth a visit.
First time I've been in and always wanted to try and we did today and got to say the staff were excellent very friendly and like to have a laugh and the fish and chips were unreal thanks guys thoroughly enjoyed it
Popped in today, ordered Fish, chips and mushy peas. Received 2 medium sized fish, cooked to perfection. Chips were lovely, however mushy portion was on the small size. Chatty, friendly staff, will definitely recommend & return.

Probably one of the nicest haddocks I've had and got two decent sized bits of it and a ton of chips. Me and my mate though that just one between two would be enough! Also tried the friend crabsticks! Spot on!
