One of our favourite places, no matter the weather, it’s never too cold for an ice cream

Lucky to get a table, very busy. Toasted tea cake , lovely as always. Flat bread sandwich, very nice. Hot chocolate to warm us up... delicious. We love South Shields and our trips to Minchella’s.

Nice place to stop for an ice cream / tea or coffee when cycling down the sea front. Pleasant surroundings right on the sea front, toilets available.

Crazy long wait on bank holiday Monday but the ice cream was worth the wait! Went back the next day and there was hardly a queue and enjoyed some more. They need to expand into London (please). Fair priced excellent quality delicious lip smacking ice cream. Loved the peach sundae. Highly recommended.

Tasty, locally made ice cream, surprisingly cheap for the taste, however often long wait times at midday

We had tea and cheese scones which were delicious. There is a lovely seating area at the back with a view of the sea. The staff are young but friendly. However they are serving both the front take away area and the back eat in section so service is quite slow and there is often a queue. Tables don't get cleared often as the staff are always busy serving. Perhaps more staff needed or one dedicated to making the ice creams or clearing tables. Having said all of that, it's a lovely popular place and if you're not in a rush a great place to spend time relaxing.

Lovely little ice cream parlour on the seafront. Great prices for coffee and other drinks, though be careful that the online menu's options are not the same as the instore menu.

Minchella' Ice cream parlour has been around for years and has a classic old school feel. Cones, tubs and glasses of treats for kids and adults alike, some of the best vegan ice cream around. Recommended especially on sunny day.

Really nice ice cream we had a sundae which was a good portion which comes with all the trimmings and was full of flavour. Cones are available in a variety of ways or tubs if you prefer. Plenty of flavours available. Also, you can sit inside if you want, or you can sit outside. There is seating available.

The ice cream is obviously 5 stars . Tastes great. Worth the long wait in the queue. Its just that wait is long. The picture is a half hour wait... whilst entertaining 2 young kids... it's a difficult wait and then when you finally get the ice cream... one kid drops theirs and its heart breaking....

Absolutely delicious ice cream served seconds from the beach. My wife came here 25 years ago and it's just as tasty as she remembers. I'm glad she bought me for some cool refreshing tasty treats.

Queuing took an hour but the ice cream was great so swings and roundabouts. Probably better on a less busy day at the beach but can't fault it
