I know you're not meant to say it, but I'll stick my neck out and say better than Colmans. They also don't act like they're doing you a favour allowing you to eat their chips.
Went here as normal haunt of Colemans down the road was heaving on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday. Wasn't disappointed - less pricey than Colemans too!

Visited here whilst in South Shields. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of chips and a glorious tasty fish with mushy peas. Well worth a visit you will enjoy
Love it. Only prob is they don't deliver anymore. It's uber and prices are at least 40% more

Best battered crab sticks ive ever had lovely they are and at £2 a portion you really cant moan lovely friendly staff too :)
I was here a couple of weeks ago and my wife and i had fish a chips, they were excellent we both enjoyed them. Also very welcoming staff. Recommended
Never has a poor meal...sorry to say that we only bought one large portion of chips for two fish, even then we had to leave some.
If you like crispy batter then ask for a portion and you'll get a bag.
