Great friendly staff good size portions🍽️🍺. Didn't have too wait to long. I found the food too be first class. The chips were very nice the curry🥘 dishes were nice and thick great flavours. Would try again 👍

Work every Spring and Aug Bank hols in South Shields, Over the years tried all the Indian Bengali restaurants, Im not easily pleased but the Star of India is fabulous. The Pickles are Great, Poppadoms Spiced Papads excellent and a good pickle tray as well.

Great value for money with a £9.95 set menu. Service was good and the food was served quickly. I visited a few years ago and I noted that it's been redecorated very nicely. I would visit again.
