Went today for lunch had the onion bhaji with the curry mayo OMG totally amazing!! Followed by Serrano ham, mozzarella and tomato Sourdough panini with a side of salt and chilli fries which was delicious. Hubby had the Lamb meatballs which he also said was great however our friend wasn’t too sure on the giant couscous. Buttermilk chicken was also ordered and no complaints there either. Too full for pudding so bought a take out chocolate brownie which my son had. Great new place to eat in Shields will definitely be back on an evening to try the dinner menu. Can take own wine etc which is fab!!! Great service from staff

Just got back from first visit wow what a great asset to shields this place is. The style is laid back. The service is top notch and the food outstanding We had three course meals for two with sparkling water took our own bottle of vino and came away with change from 40 quid Very impressed

This place is the best. The food is top notch and the bills are always surprisingly good. They literally do the best toast in town!!

Been again for lunch today. Becoming a bit of a habit. Best food in Shields by a country mile in my opinion. . Nice quirky little place - no airs and graces. Nice bloke - really welcoming. Reasonably priced and every bit of food I've had here has been brilliantly cooked and is so different to anywhere you'll get round here. Credit where it's due, it's spot on.

My previous review was too Indian cuisine biased. This place has a new menu every week and although I have not tried everything on the menu but everything I have tried is perfectly balanced, flavour wise. They play Portishead too

Absolute little local gem and a fantastic place to be able to pop to pick up such high quality food! I’ve been in for a quick lunch throughout the day several times and this evening have just had two main courses to take out for my wife and I. I’d happily pay a lot more in a Newcastle restaurant for the quality of the food. If you are any sort of ‘foodie’ you must give it a try. Highly recommended

Second time at Wolfmann's today, very lucky to have this place on my doorstep. Everything a small independent cafe / eating house should be, amazing food at affordable prices, great service and I even bumped into some friends to share dinner with. Will be back, again and again. Cheers Wolfmann

This place is absolutely amazing. It is about time Shields had somewhere with a little character, great food and ambiance like this. I have been a few times now and again sat evening with family. This small little eatery is quickly becoming one of my favourites. See you again very soon.

Popped in for a lunchtime snack and had a delicious bacon and brie toasted sour bread sandwich, a huge caramel shortbread slice and a rather decent latte. The background music was refreshingly NOT lift-muzak nor intrusive and as it included a Zeppelin track it gets a thumbs up from me. Tastebuds, stomach and ears all satisfied. I think I've found my local. :-)

We had the most amazing meal last night at Wolfmann's. The food was such good quality and reasonably priced. The owner is lovely and welcoming. We don't usually eat out in Shields but so glad we've found this gem.

Had tea at Wolfmans tonight, this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. Really well cooked flavoursome food in a chilled out relaxed atmosphere with a lovely host John himself. Totally recommend a visit.

Rascal opening times but if you do manage to catch it when it's open then definitely worth popping in. Been for lunch and breakfast before but really need to try the evening menu myself. Asian twist on the dishes and well received as other establishments like this are few and far between in the area. Happy, friendly, attentive service always. £8-£12 for your lunch plus a possible addition of sides may seem on the steep side but worth it as an occasional treat.

Venison was cooked to perfection. Restaurant wasn't too busy when we got there, probably go a bit later next time as there wasn't much atmosphere.

The only place like it in South Tyneside. So lucky to have this on my doorstep. The decor and the food are just amazing. So reasonably priced too for the quality of ingredients they clearly use. Love it!

Loved the "different menu". I had the best Calamari starter I've ever had, slightly spicy yet sweet & sour -absolutely delicious. For the main I chose Ribeye steak and was not disappointed. Will certainly return.

The specials are always worth a try, unusual blendings of South Asian flavours with home made kimchi and pickles. The breakfasts look amazing too, but we go for the specials... You can't get food like this anywhere else in South Shields.

The new Korean takeaway menu is amazing and well worth the money. It is collection only, however well planned with booked time slots and safe environment for collecting. Will be ordering again

Such a great little restaurant. Fast. Delicious. Creative and interesting food. With a bit more attention to service detail this would be tip top. Easily the best pork belly sandwich ive ever had.. not an exaggeration. Easily the best place to eat in Chichester. BRAVISSIMO
