Just had a delivery. Thai ref beef curry by far the best I've had locally. Also had salt and chilli pepper king prawns starter as a side dish. Steamed rice too. Really gorgeous and well worth £13.20 plus £2 delivery. I will order again :-)

Won the Sunday lunch competition for 2 people. Definitely quality over quantity. Good range of starters with soup, tempura vegetables, spring rolls, sesame seed toast. Thai green curry, crispy chicken(my favourite) and another few choices with rice and noodles. Prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. Chocolate fudge cake, Red velvet cake, bananas in cream and fruit cocktail. Over all the food was excellent and very fresh. Staff were really lovely. Definitely will be back!!!! Amazing place

I won the Sunday buffet for 2 people, so me and the wife dined there today. The selection of food was prawn crackers, with different dips, chips, prawn toast, deep fried vegetables, chicken wings, Chicken nuggets, spicy carrot salad, spicy beef salad, egg fried rice, beef red curry, vegetables in oyster sauce, noodles, chicken with vegetables, banana in coconut milk, fresh fruit, etc. Singa Thai Lager is a must to try if you ever have. Nice sized restaurant with comfortable chairs. Polite staff, very clean toilets. Plenty of parking outside the restaurant. Thanks again.

We went for the Sunday buffet, it was excellent. The food was very good, always fresh and something for bairn as well. Plenty of choice, 5 mains in total and the staff were very friendly and really helpful. You will definitely eat your monies worth.

We called late on Friday night on spec, hadn't booked. We were shown to our table and the waitress placed cloth napkins on our laps. Everything was neat and tidy. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Both our starters and main courses were delicious. We will come again and would recommend a visit to anyone.

Situated in a residential area and semi-industrial park, Orangegrass doesn’t look like it’s up to much from outside. And it’s not in Shields’ town centre so it would be easy to miss. But step inside the entrance of 7 Mount Terrace (it has the appearance of a community hall) and head straight upstairs to the pristine restaurant, where polite staff in smart Thai traditional silk outfits are waiting to greet you. Pristine interior The restaurant is an appealing, high-ceilinged capacious room split into different sections. And on our visit last night we were thoroughly well looked after by our server. There’s a great wine list too. We homed in on a bottle of Opal Ridge Gewurztraminer Verdelho 2013 (assuming this would go well with spicy food, which it did) while contemplating the food choices...

Acceptable for south shields standards. Not as authentic as expected. Understandably heavily anglicised to suit local community otherwise the business wouldn’t sustain.

The mix starter had a good selection.Had the jungle curry which was full of flavour and had a nice kick to it.The deserts were nice too especially the coconut pancake with ice cream. Staff were very helpful and wasn't much of a wait but it was a bit quiet on the weekday we went.Very clean with beautiful decor.
