Nice decor clean and tidy but as a couple you always end up with the worst tables. Sadly on a slope and on the main waiter/waitress thoroughfare. That said food was lovely when it arrived. Blessed with a world class location.

We only stayed one night, but it was very nice. Dinner was great- Sunday roast & sea bass- both delicious! Yorkshire puddings we’re excellent. Rooms were cozy and clean. We had the room by the stairs so we could hear people coming/going if loud. Only complaint: the restaurant is dog friendly and a family had their dog that wouldn’t stop barking. It was really unpleasant and we ended up leaving as soon as we could.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here this afternoon. I had the duck and orange parfait to start and garlic prawn skewers with a selection of humus and flat breads and they were all delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, would highly recommend.

Met friends here for a few drinks (reasonably priced). Lovely, cosy, relaxed atmosphere. All areas kept clean & tidy. Was a beautiful evening & we took time to look at the spectacular views of the 3 bridges & river. Looked wonderful (only seen im the day up to that point). Would like to return for a meal as the food that we saw being served looked delicious.

My family and I stopped in for lunch after our trip to Incholm Island. Lunch at The Hawes Inn restaurant was the perfect end to our stay in the most beautiful country I have seen in my travels. The meal was absolutely delicious. The wonderful service exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious with wonderful presentation, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable with a stunning view of the water. I had the Sea Bass & King Prawns. Sadly they were out of prawns but my choice was still delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fish & chips while my son devoured the signature burger. We ended the meal with coffee that was served with the most delicious little piece of heaven on the side (I wish I would have asked what it was), and an absolutely beautiful strawberry meringue dessert.

Our first visit and won't be the last. We were allocated a table in the window with a superb view of the magnificent Forth Railway Bridge. There were five in our party and we all had different main courses and desserts. There were five clean plates and everyone agreed that the quality of the food and the presentation was exceptional. We were served by Tracy, who was extremely pleasant and attentive.
