This is a fabulous pub with fantastic food and a warm welcome. We’ve had plenty of meals here and have never been disappointed. If you are wondering if you should go, stop, just go and have a great time. 👍

Whilst this is a lovely pub and the last meal I had there was excellent, the fact that their Christmas menu has foie gras listed on it has put me off for any future visits. Check out how this is produced and you too will or should be disgusted.

Visited yesterday for a family lunch and very impressed! Extensive menu with THREE delicious sounding vegetarian main course options, was also told these could all be made without dairy so suitable for vegans too! We had the curry which was lovely. The staff looking after us were all really welcoming and friendly and particularly great with my two year old daughter who was very well catered for. Children have the option to have a half portion off the main menu as well as all the usual kids classics and colouring and stickers were available too. Overall highly recommended and we hope to visit again soon

There aren't so many pub restaurants serving meals into Sunday evenings in South Somerset, so the fact that the one which does is so good is gratifying. They must be exhausted after the busy Sunday lunch scene, but we had a proper welcome, attentive table service, a quick correction when we pointed out a small problem, and great food. Madame had the goats cheese and sweet potato salad, and enjoyed the crispy sweet potato skin and freshness of the greens. I had the roast turkey and thought the meat succulent, Yorkshire pudding just right, potatoes and veg OK and really good cauliflower cheese. We've eaten here a couple of times and the quality of the food and service has been consistently good. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic little pub. There was a great choice on the menu. The Chefs created a wonderful selection on the specials board. Also the staff were amazing. Great banter and lots of fun which made for a memorable evening. We will definitely be coming back again.

Enjoyed an unplanned lunch visit, plenty of parking, the beer garden looked lovely in the sunshine and had lots of seating. Food was delicious and staff offered great service.

Great value for money village pub and restaurant. Sufficient staff to customer ratio. Food well cooked and offered in regular or larger portions [ great for older people who cannot eat as much as they used to ]. Pleasant staff in a convivial 17th century building. Highly recommended.

I recently visited the pub on a busy Thursday evening with some family members as I was visiting from Australia. What can i say, lovely staff, amazing food and a very traditional pub! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm over.
