Can’t praise The Boundry enough. We go every Sunday as a family for the carvery. Exceptional service, great food, but what keeps us going back is the welcome especially how marvellous they are with our kids (especially Mary). Hubs goes to quiz every week. We have just done back from the most wonderful, above and beyond, free, Family Halloween party. Jason & Mary were awesome. A true old fashioned, great value, warm welcome, family pub that we can’t recommend enough.
It's a long while since we've eaten at the Boundary pub after a terrible meal , but just wanted somewhere local to eat on the way home from a hospital appointment so decided to take a chance and try it . The staff were very helpful and friendly , the meal did take a while to arrive but all 5 different meals were piping hot and tasty . We will definitely be going again when we just want to eat locally
Visited on Saturday (4.3.17) for my sisters hen do meal , all the staff were polite and friendly & the manager was very pleasant , going out of his way to ensure our large group had a good time . There was lots of choice on the menu & I'm happy to say that as a vegetarian I was spoilt for choice , the vege chilli I had was delious. There was a great atmosphere in the building ,so we certainly will be visiting again & hope to have more family events here in the future . Thank you to the management & staff for ensuring that we had a great time 😁
Visited yesterday, we booked in advance for a hen do for 30 people. Upon booking we were advised that due to there being so many of us there would be a wait for our food. When we arrived there was an area reserved for us out of the way of others which was perfect. We all ordered individually but were told they'd bring it out altogether. Because we knew about the wait in advance we had planned some games but we're pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food started to arrive. It did take a little while for them to get all our meals out but I cannot fault them. As far as I'm aware everybody enjoyed their meal. I know I did! After we had eaten we were given glowsticks, masks and flower garlands completely free of charge! All the staff I spoke to were lovely kind and friendly. I will be returning again very soon with my family I'm sure � thank you to all of you at the boundary who ensured my mum had a wonderful evening!
Lovely food at decent prices and very helpful friendly staff.
We decided to give it a try after receiving a leaflet through the door and was not disappointed. The pub itself is huge and really nice. The staff were friendly & very helpful. We ordered starters & mains and all the food was hot & fresh. We were seated just outside the children's area as it was very busy & I don't think this pleased the regulars as my grandson can be a bit loud (but it seemed OK for their dogs to bark whilst in there?) I would probably ask to be seated in the family area next time so not to upset the regulars. All in all we had a lovely meal & enjoyed our evening, thanks to the staff 😀

Visited the Boundary last week for the first time to celebrate my sisters 60th birthday. We were very impressed with the restaurant and the food was lovely and served on hot plates. The staff team were welcoming and attentive. We were told about forth coming events and treated to a mince pie!! As I will be moving to the area soon we will definitely be making a reservation to eat there again. Would highly recommend to other customers and visitors.
Great room that was large and a good temperature. The beds were very comfortable and all the facilities excellent. The room was nice and clean. The attached pub was very friendly, had a warm welcome and served good quality, high value food
Well, I thought the hotel room was great for us as a large family. The fry up breakfast was good.
When I arrived I felt the staff service could have been a bit more friendly and inviting but overall I would stay again for sure.
I did appreciate the managers service in the morning for breakfast.
Also, prices were very reasonable!
Very friendly and helpful. When we asked them something they fixed it really quickly. Rooms were lovely, beds were comfortable. They provide shower gel but you need to bring your own shampoo though.
Family friendly pub with a good menu with great promotions. Staff are friendly and welcoming and service was spot on. This was our third visit and a good jump off point for the beautiful Peak District. We stayed in the accommodation to the rear of the property and found our room was very clean and comfortable and above all, quiet. The king size bed was amazingly comfortable. I would recommend both the pub and the accommodation and we will definitely return, in fact we have booked a few days next week. Great value accommodation, food and drink, what more can you ask?
Absolutely brilliant service. Food was cooked to perfection a great fun friendly and welcoming team you have at the boundary in South normaton. Was an absolute pleasure things to improve. Nothing. Will see you again very soon.
Attended a private function today in the large function suite, the room was clean and well equipped as well as nicely decorated, the buffet provided was the best I've had at any marstons pub and I slipped into the pub afterwards and it is really nicely decorated.
The staff In the function room were lovely and the lady behind the bar answered all my questions and gave me a great insight into what the pub & inn were all about! If I'm ever in the area I'll be sure to visit again!
The beer we had ordered was not good quality, cloudy and tasted old. We took the beer back and the manager offered us a different beer. He then came to us and gave us a taste of a new barrel. He then replaced our beer with our original choice. Very impressed with the service 😀👏
It is a beautiful family pub. Fabulous interior and lovely, kind and helpful staff.
The food is delicious and filling. There is a vast selection of ales and different drinks available. There is a play area inside with play, grab and win machines £1 =4 goes. There is an outdoor playground for the children. The outdoor sitting area is huge . The pub and hotel is surrounded by beautiful green woods. You can play pool and darts .
We ate at the boundary today for the first time in years and I was very impressed by the standard of food.
Serloin steak was perfect and the wife's burger was really good.
Staff were great and service spot on.
Definitely going to be going again.
Very nice atmosphere. Claire was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. There's an excellent dog friendly area for dog walkers and hot drinks served.
What a great pub, and great friendly staff! attended the comedy night that one of the actual managers was hosting, very funny guy and amazing comedians, free entertainment for a wednesday night. great atmosphere. my wife and i will definitely be returning
I went for the comedy night there and had a splendid time. Everyone was very welcoming, the place was spotless and it had a lovely atmosphere. You can't go far wrong here.
Great environment, wonderful staff and great food. The service was absolutely stellar. Th variety of the menu was a great balance of traditional and seasonal making it had to choose. Turns out you can’t go web with any choir you make.
