Review The Welcome Fryer - South Molton

The food from here is amazing, we stayed close by for a week and gave it a go. We ordered online with a time slot and the food was ready on time. A must go if you're staying nearby.

We had excellent fish and chips we were able to sit in to eat even though we had a takeaway also allowed us to have the dog in with us very friendly staff.

Nice chips and curry sauce, vegan options but not cooked separately so unfortunately not suitable for vegans would love to see that change. Great service

Got 3 large portions of fish and chips and was very pleased with the freshness, quality, taste and appearance of the food. The meal was very enjoyable and wasn't too greasy or hard to digest. Would recommend.

The foods always great here and the chips are delicious. I've ate in the restaurant, collected take outs and also had a few deliveries. Cannot fault it, might have to order again for tea! :)

We had an excellent meal from The Welcome Fryer tonight. The vege Gourmet burger is just lovely and the chips tasted so fresh. Well worth it! The best in South Molton I say.

The very best fish and chips. Generous portions too! Pre-order for collection and home delivery on Thursday and Friday. We have never been disappointed - great!

Always stop when out south Molton way best chip shop for miles

Visited the area for lunch while on the way home from a week camping, checked out a few pubs in the area for food and decided that The Welcome Fryer looked the best by a long way. My partner had Cornish Pasty and chips and I had the fish platter, I expected maybe a piece of fish, scampi and a fish cake. Boy I was wrong and in a good way, turns out that the fish platter is 3 large pieces of fish, turns out 1lb of fish, with chips and peas, all for a smidge under £12, definitely a bargain, I wasn't able to eat it all in one sitting so the very friendly staff gave me a take away box so I could take the left overs home 😋, if only this place was closer to home. I would like to say to the owner, that the staff you have working there where the nicest and friendly staff I've been served by in a long time and made the whole experience more memorable, this was a great finale to our holiday. Thanks.
