Rachel (I am so sorry if I've got it wrong my lovely) was most welcoming and friendly. Her customer service was excellent.
Amanda is a great landlady as well as a great cook! Super friendly and has time to have a chat with customers.

We were staying up the road in the Woodland Retreats & wondered down to have a mid walk drink here & so glad we did. It's a great little pub with a pool table, dart board, little resturant & the rooms above for overnight looked amazing.

Very friendly staff, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the included breakfast is perfect to set you up for the day. Overall a great place to stay for a short break or a longer holiday.
We had lunch here last week.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the cottage pie was amazing,best I have ever eaten. Lovely, warm welcome when we called in on the off-chance we might be able to get lunch. Food is good, unpretentious country pub fare made with high quality local ingredients. Service friendly and quick. I have a feeling we may make a special journey back there again as it was so enjoyable.
