We had a wonderful family stay. We loved the large family room with bunk beds. We enjoyed dinner in the garden and a cosy breakfast inside the next day. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic village pub. Great food and genuinely warm welcome. Lovely garden and dog friendly. Very old, quaint rooms - but with all facilities and amenities. Spotlessly clean. The bacon at breakfast was absolutely delicious!
This is a lovely country Inn with beautiful views out from the rear beer garden. The room we stayed in was well equipped with traditionally designed interior and modern touches.

Had lunch here today, overall it was actually the best pub lunch we’ve had. Delicious food, decent portions, really great desserts. Good service, price and location. Will definitely come again. Thanks very much!
Rooms are classy and stylish if a little small. There's not much light, but the bathrooms are nice and well provisioned. Main bar has a nice look to it and there's a decent beer garden too. Food was a bit average. Several items on the menu were off, I had an average fish and chips with the smallest
A great old English pub and bed and breakfast. Awesome original features, beautiful fireplaces throughout. Great friendly service and very reasonable prices. A wonderful to place to stop and recharge on your journey.

Surprisingly high quality ingredients in their specials! Often pub food can be unimaginative and bland. The chefs here are clearly sourcing seasonal products in peak condition. Lovely pub in a picture postcard Downs village. To be fair, I was having a quick pint just prior to a wedding in the village church on a gorgeous sunny day so my perception was skewed happy, but I suspect that it would be equally nice whatever the circumstances.
The staff are very good. It's nice to get excellent customer service in a little village pub. The food was standard pub selection, but done much better.
Roast was better than most places.
Also there is wifi (Internet) here. Decent speeds too.
Wonderful service, friendly and efficient. Food was great and they spoiled us rotten when we said we were there for our wedding anniversary. Great base for cycling and walking.
Only stayed one night buy I'm sure we'll be back again. Room, dinner, breakfast and the staff were all absolutely lovely. Thank you very much indeed.

Very friendly pub with good atmosphere - they really looked after me when I tuned up soaking wet at lunchtime after getting caught in a thunderstorm.

Beautiful location, quaint pub, we didn't eat there or take a room, but it has a good beer garden, good beer and friendly staff.
We booked last minute what a fabulous place to stay, clean rooms friendly staff and fabulous food definitely would stay again 10/10
