This pup mainly serves I.P.A beers brewed in Barnsley as well as original fruit ciders brewed in Somerset. The setting is quaint and spotlessly clean. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. They know all about their beers and ciders and will willingly let you try before you buy. Being an old train station, you can watch the trains if inclined to do so. There is a rare treat of nostalgia now and again. That is when the last of Yorkshires steam trains passes through. Plenty of parking, and also outdoor seating if required. The bar is also disabled friendly as it is all on one level. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Mallard.

A new pub on Moorthorpe Station. Brilliant choice of Real Ales. Hopefully a feature will be made of the old waiting room/conservatory. Still feels a bit corporate office when walking in. But looking forward to this pub progressing. Really enjoyed it.

An asset to our community. Great selection of drinks from real ales, exotic ciders premium lagers and the usual wines and spirits. Small and friendly. A pleasure to visit. 🍻

Quiet for a Friday night, but comfy, good drinks and great music. Good place to relax after badminton.
