Throughly lovely family meal in the beer garden on a Saturday in June Loads to keep the kids occupied and the drinks and food menu kept everyone happy The pizzas were particularly lovely but everyone enjoyed third meal. I was a big fan of the chips!! Seemed very well priced too. The kids meals at £6.50 were a very good portion but the 12” wood fired pizzas at £12 were very well priced.

Sunday lunch at the end of the holiday season. Not sure if this is the daily policy but on Sundays 2 sittings are offered: noon or 2pm. Roast lamb and the beef were flavoursome. Big pub with lots of enclosed outside space for children n dogs to play etc.

This is definitely one of the top pubs in the West Country for me. Mark and Sue run a superb place. Their staff are always a pleasure to speak to and interested in what the locals have been up to. Lovely pub on one side and the restaurant on the other. The beer garden is massive and the kids play area is really good and spread out nicely. Plenty of space for kids to run around and you get the sun most of the day which is also a plus. Located about 2 mins drive from the A38. The food is exceptionally good and they do an amazing Sunday roast. Huge carpark and spaces are ample size as there are a few range rovers that turn up…

Visited today for dinner, booked a table for inside earlier in the day and was told if we did want to eat outside the menu was different, which was nice to know. The food choice was great, the food was also delicious, I had the Thai red curry which was delicious and my partner had steak which was also lovely. My parents had the burger and they said it was delicious. The garden area is beautiful and really well maintained. Will definitely return to try the pizza!

We travelled over from Salcombe and ate here today with the family- there was 17 of us (6 of which were small children), the place was great. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The children had a great time playing outside in the garden. Some of us had roasts, some had pizzas- everyone commented on how good it was. We will definitely be back

Popped in, met family n friends, an impromptu visit. Ordered food and a drink, treats at the bar for our dog😉😁. Service was prompt, staff were pleasant, friendly and very hospitable. The place is well kept n clean, food portions are generous and drinks went down a treat. Would be advisable to pre book at certain times to avoid disappointment. It is well run and is on the route between Totnes and the A38.

Great food, reasonably priced. Excellent service. Used the large garden area which was great in the sun. Only one small issue to mention: younger children kicking a ball around in the beer garden even though signs were up asking parents to supervise them. Not trying to be the fun police but was a bit annoying.
